He is completely out tanked by everyone
His abilities are awful
He has no tanking ability
His health is way too low
He experiences no fluidity
His ult is worthless
He is basically a meme
And sombra completely denies him
And to think i was going to main him…

I feel his survival is pretty good if you keep moving but your not really helping that much when you do
It is just difficult to get medium value or less out of him.
His shield feels bad and is not very good I think.
his ult also feels weak usually it seems best to ult as an escape and go back to your team with it .
His combo flow is a bit ruined and that’s a bit sad.

I’m going to pretend that I didn’t see your thread title.
But yes, Doom stands to be in line for some improvements for sure. I still play him occasionally because I do still think he is one of the most fun characters gameplay- and design-wise, but his damage is pitiful.
I’m working on getting combos down pact for killing squishies, but they are so dependent on where you are when you engage them. Sometimes you even have to disengage completely. And the fact remains that his regular Rocket Punch is still weaker than a standard melee. I get it that they didn’t want someone that cause widespread damage for all of the knocking around and stuns he can do, but he can afford to get some sort of damage increase for Rocket Punch considering that you need to charge it and it only goes in one predictable direction, plus the risk/reward of connecting a punch.
I really, really do love the fact that you can hit multiple people at the same though. And that an Empowered Rocket Punch can stun people against a wall.

Yknow u couldve made a doomed-fist joke
Then…am I justified to say tank diff if I won on tank doomfist in comp against and Orisa? Or am I just a clown for doing that?
And they say chivalry is dead

That’s what I called him the other night. I warned my teammates that I was gonna start the match with a little Throwfist.

He was perfect when he was released in beta 1
Why did they have to change him

His power block I think they should give it a go to make it equal to a Zarya bubble.
You can dish out a lot of damage as Doom very much potentially wiping the team w a fully charged up punch, that is however dependent on your team.
Don’t focus on getting kills w him.
Maybe possibly making his punch charge up to full faster, but getting iffy, he is not very far off at all, if they changed too much he would be a menace.
His ultimate needs tweaks for sure.
I enjoy playing him and things have been getting better, I have good games and bad games, it still also depends on your team mates.
My opinion is don’t focus on getting kills don’t chase for that “one” go back to / with your team.
If you have a good cooperating team , they have your back, Doom / your team can wreck house.
It is close, but he does not need much.
Thanks
Take care
You gotta remember that you are plaaying CoD its the only way to actually play it here.
As I see it, DF needs following changes:
- Instead of 450 HP, he should have 400 HP 100 Armor (armor is necessity so healing him fully is worth as much as other tanks)
- His Ult needs to knock enemies up
- Power Block should negate all projectile damage
He has ton of damage and can make life of enemy miserable with all his knockbacks and mobility, he just has issue of actually surviving start of 5v5s
Thats a Standard P Graham post.
What combos?
You either punch them into a wall and shoot or punch them into the hole and shoot.
His combos left when he lost uppercut.

I’m talking about what little is left.
It’s no shock that him and JQ (the tanks that do the least amount of dmg) are the worst 2 tanks in the game. The dmg is depressing and they can’t do anything for themselves.
DO IT!
Hard times create strong men.
