Doomfist is too tanky

This is just Diamond/Master MMR. So by no means am i a god.
But Doomfist is simply too tanky to be dealing that much burst damage.
Look at this, he would have killed me before i finished the wind up animation of sleepdart if the Doomfist was semi competent, but he wasn’t. Because he missed the second shot and didn’t have uppercut ready.
This hero can tank waaaay too many team resources.

Then he manages to tank a shot from me, effectively by gaining shields alone. An EMP AND a few whacks from Reinhardt. If it wasn’t for the EMP, he would have been able to escape, just look at RP’s cooldown. He even manages to get Reinhardt to critical health with minimal effort, and almost got 2 kills out of that engagement if it wasn’t for the solo shatter.

The amount of effort to reward ratio for this hero is completely out of control.
Does this even qualify as melee range anymore?

A) Nice sleep
B) It looks like only Rein was swinging at him after your first Edit 2 shots, which shouldn’t be enough to kill him through a valking mercy and Moira’s HoT
C) That shatter shouldn’t have hit him I don’t think, and that EMP DEFINITELY shouldn’t have hit him.
D) off topic Your Rein used his charge on the Orisa right? I’m assuming that’s why he didn’t just pin the Doomfist. Also your Rein was popping off there.

The real issue here is his TTK even when you used his audio queue for slam. It’s insane and extremely forgiving.

I saw him coming, so it was an easy sleep.

Yeah, but sombra shot about half a clip at him too.
She decided to hunt down the healers with hog and rotated however.
But she did use her EMP to ensure a kill on Doomfist, eventhough it wouldn’t have worked out if it wasn’t for the solo shatter.

Doomfist is ultra mobile, so i wouldn’t have been surprised if he dodged the shatter.

Correct, and i used a bionade to ensure Rein would win that engagement.

It also looks like he was being pocketted by the red team Mercy. But your sleep was on point for sure! So if he had no shields prior to slamming you he would have 285 hp, right? Then the 50 hp per second of Mercy healing.

Irrelevant.
Both me and Rein got pocket heals too, but i died, and the Rein barely escaped.

Its kinda hard to see how much health df has so im gonna use his health bar at the top.

Alright doomfist got 285hp after slamming u. U sleep him with bring him down to 280hp. Rein hits doomfist and his health to 205hp. Then U and rein hits him again which bring his health down to 60hp. After df gets up he uppercuts u which gives him 90hp.

Now here’s your mistake, and if u didnt make that mistake u would’ve killed him. You turned around on Doomfist. Why? If you saved your grenade instead of throwing it on rein (now if orisa was close to killing him, then u did a good job at saving him.) You could’ve threw it on df, healing yourself and shoot df again and you will kill him. Or you could’ve shot him which would bring his health down to 20hp. Now if sombra took advantage of her passive sprayed df befor emp, she would’ve killed him before mercy and moira came to heal him.

This does not show df being tanky.

As for rein 1v1 with df. Rein is a punching bag for df, because df has a high advantage against rein. But here rein had a slight advantage against df because he get that hacked health pack and keep fighting him.

To close the gap so that Doom will miss some pellets, which he didn’t. And allow Mercy to heal me, which didn’t help in the slightest.

Doomfist didn’t need all of his cooldowns to get stuff done, because that’s how the hero operates. His cooldowns are all super short, and very effective.
I used the nade on Rein because i knew the enemy Sombra had EMP at the ready, and was pretty sure Moira had her ult. That could have escalated, so i forced a stagger on Orisa by nading her.

You’re right, it also shows how obscene his burst damage and mobility is.

Everyone except for Roadhog is a punching bag to Doomfist.
But he was doing his own thing in the front line, you could make a case for Roadhog ignoring the Doomfist, but that further cements how little the rest of the team can do about him. I slept Doomfist about 7 times that game. And he still managed to kill me 3 times. Why do you always keep insisting that sleep is somehow a counter to Doomfist? Because that’s really all i’m trying to disprove here. It’s not a counter, it’s a last line of defense.

You’re seeing it for yourself first hand now. There is no follow up for a sleeping Doomfist on my part. Sleep is only a threat to Doomfist if there’s sufficient burst damage on a team. Our Roadhog was feeding on the frontline, and Rein just used his charge to get the Orisa. Those are our only meaningful sources of burst damage. Again, you could make a case for Reaper, but he has like 4 meters effective range. By the time he arrives the Doom should be long gone.

I just love playing supports and watching doomfist killing my team while I’m healing them. Moira, Ana no matter what he just does so much damage that healing is irrelevant lol

Doomfist is a universal support counter.
Just don’t bother picking around him tbh. As long as you’re not picking the supports who are especially prone to him.
Tanks aren’t much better off. You only have Hog and Orisa.
But even as Orisa, he just doesn’t interact with you. He bypasses your shield, damage and straight up goes for the squishies behind you.

The hero needs changes in the 2/2/2 format.
Even in the pro league… Reaper, Orisa, Lucio and Moira are meta. Supposedly his counters… lol
And he’s still everywhere.

One day they buffed his shield gain, 30 to 35 I think. If they can revert it, it would be great.

How often do you see a Doomfist with 5-15 hp?
That change did nothing. It’s the bugfixes and lower cooldowns.

I have been saying it for the longest time he is simply busted and should not be this strong .I can hardly kill him as orisa pumping 100 rounds into him its rediculous.

You could have removed his passive from the equation entirely and he still wouldn’t have died.

Ah here’s your problems!

You didn’t run Sigma; Reinhardt is too weak anymore and free Doomfist food

You didn’t have Moira/ Bap to either fade out of instant death or null instant death

Oh you needed a Doomfist of your own, Reaper too

CHARACTERS WHO DON’T INSTANTLY DIE TO DOOMFIST

That’s why i haaaaaaaaaaaate Doomfist dude.
Not only were there 4 ‘‘counters’’ (people use this term very losely these days)
He could still operate with minimal effort.
He just doesn’t interact with his ‘‘counters’’

Reaper, Roadhog, Sombra AND Ana. (Ignore those who say that Ana counters him, they haven’t played the game for the past 6 months)
This is exactly what i’ve been trying to tell people for the past few months.
This hero CHOOSES his engagements thanks to his absurd mobility.
But thanks to his sustain, all of said matchups are roflstomps.
How is a Reaper going to ‘‘counter’’ you when you can stay outside of his effective range at all times?

Doomfist needs skill matchups in the tank/support roster.
As it stands now, you can only really choose to be countered hard or countered softly by Doomfist. There’s Hog, who has the potential to shut him down. And Orisa, who he simply doesn’t interact with. But that’s really it.

I mean before they dumpstered them for 2-2-2 (Even though they needed BUFFS for 2-2-2 but WAHEY) Sombra and Brig at least SOFT countered him

That’s the problem I have with Doomfist (And Hanzo/ Widowmaker). You are FORCED to focus on that ONE character of 6, while the other 5 are free to do whatever they want to stop you while that other character has the ability to just negate so much of your team unless you mirror them, or outright just have one totally broken character.

The game should always be decided by who has the better TEAM WORK rather than “Oh I picked the best DPS that has 1 counter at most, we win”
