Doomfist is just unfair

His total health pool with shields is overtuned. The fact that an Ana can sleep him nade him and shoot him 3 times and cant kill him isnt fair because he can kill you before the fourth shot almost 100% of the time. She in just about every situation has to have a second teammate help her. Reduce his total health pool in some way.

He is just poorly designed; they couldn’t decide if he was gonna be an assassin or a heavy DPS so they went with both.

This happened last night. Even though it was ffa, it’s just hilarious on how much shields he gets even after I outplayed/outwitted him.

Well good god I should certainly hope so. She’s a support. Why should she be able to reliably 1v1 a DPS?

A support character not being able to kill Doomie at full health with Shields gained is a bad example.

Because if Ana can consistently kill a Doomie then she could do that to other DPS characters who doesn’t gain Shields.

If you ever find a Doomfist that dies to a Moira, it has to be a reaaaaally bad one. You can barely outdps his shieldgain. But hey, at least he won’t be able to cheese you as easily, because your cooldown is on 6 seconds. If Ana as much as thinks about using a sleep, she’s a free kill.
Zen and Baptiste are just always free kills.
His E completely slaughters the support roster. The only hero that doesn’t really care about his E is Brigitte, and Lucio to a lesser degree.
But Brigitte tickles him and is an easy target for rocket punch.

Good old days when the duels against the flankers where more fair…and because of doom… players want tracer buffed, because now a flanker has to go in kill someone and get out.

The duels against flankers are still fair. Just not when Brig, Moira or Doomfist are involved.

True, but i was kind of insinuating that she ‘‘broke’’ the support/flanker interactions.

Yeah, its gross at how much fist has to fall back on. Its like terran’s command center:

Didn’t scout? Use radar scan!
Need minerals? Call down a drone to harvest quickly!
Forget to build supply depot? Upgrade in a pinch!

His cooldowns are insanely low often reset by the time he preforms a combo which keeps letting him gain more hp, he has moments of invulnerable animations as well and he gains shields per person hit not just if he lands successfully. The fact he can oneshot without a fully charged punch is just the icing on the cake.

If hamsters piledriver, hook, and adaptive shields all had complimentary cooldowns he would be next to impossible to deal with. However adaptive shields is on a long cooldown for a reason, so hamster cannot keep diving in full groups constantly.

So, as a Support hero with the lowest damage output in the game, the enemy uses an ult, misses rocket punch, and still ends up losing. You got killed by another attacker. This seems normal to me.

FWIW, it would take about 5 seconds of full on RMB damage for Moira to kill a target. Given that Doomfist has more health, burst damage, and greater offensive power, this should’ve been enough to kill you. Yet somehow, you live long enough to kill him instead and die by a second attacker.

You’ve convinced me. Clearly, Doomfist is at fault here. Under no circumstances should you have outlived his shield health, his regular health and kill him when Moira has nowhere near the offensive power he does.

Except that’s not what happened.

She kills most dps with 3 shots in this case there is the added bonus of a nade and a setup with a sleep. She needs something when you are running back from spawn and you get jumped.

All I’m getting from this is: time to nerf Ana. :rofl:

I dare you to try consistently hitting 3 shots when you are being dived on. Honestly I think the only healer who cant reliably kill dps in a 1v1 is moira even mercy has some high damage output if you hit headshots.

I think the problem lies more in his insta burst combo and mobility combined with the rollouts he can do out of nowhere. Here are my ideas of fixing Doomfist:

I mean, after you get dove on enough the panic kind of goes away and turns into sigh “here we go again” and like, it gets easier when you’re not trying to calm yourself down to steady your aim.

The trick is to be so jaded you don’t care anymore about wining because they’ll always gonna get the jump on you, it’s their job to. Your job in the jaded “here we go again” state is to make it a one-for-one trade.

If I’m a lone support being dived by a DPS, I don’t expect to win. I shouldn’t win. I should have a counterflanker DPS or off tank to peel for me.

I realize that sometimes for reasons beyond our control, we get caught alone without help and it sucks. But it’s also fair. Enemy DPS need the opportunity to provide value, and killing supports is their top priority. Supports are so powerful that many times the team fight literally cannot be won until the enemy’s primary healer is dead.

You are wrong. If I hit all my shots and they miss some all healers can kill dps.
