Bring back dps doomfist, He doenst need a one shot punch. wanst that all the bad supports were talking about? just nerf punch dmg to a 100-150, My problem too with tank doomfist is just how he is a tank. you guys gave him a tanky ability, that just allows him to deal more dmg. also literally every block a tank has blocks CC, doomfist doenst.
why does everyone suggest that the hyper mobile tanks that have buttloads of CC in their kit get CC immunity
its not like doomfist doesnt have hardcounters

the massive, slow, no mobility target that can stop the Doomfists movement every 12 seconds with an inconsistent grenade that Doomfist can now block and charge punch from is a hard counter now?
If Cass is playing with his team, yes. That nade properly used will stop doom mid-punch and let the team follow up for an easy kill.
Same statememt applies to Sombra, the horse, and Brig. Its fair to say Cass doesn’t counter doom as hard the other three, but I would still include him as a counter imo.

The idea with the below Doomfist rework is to make him a healthy DPS hero for the game by addressing the pain points of playing against OW1 DPS Doomfist (removing stun from Rocket Punch, reducing his enemy displacement, and reducing his single-target burst damage potential):
Doomfist
- Moved from Tank to Damage Role
- Base health reduced from 450 to 250
Power Block
- Ability Removed
NEW! Rising Uppercut
- OW1 Rising Uppercut Added
- Reduce upwards travel and knock-up of Uppercut
Seismic Slam
- Now propels Doomfist forward a set speed and distance upon landing (Possibly make it so it only triggers if you are holding your jump key as you land)
- Now also allows for targeting ground that is at least a certain angle below your hero while mid-air to travel downward (damage ramping from OW1 would stay gone, and Doomfist keeps the OW2 verticality to his Slam)
Rocket Punch
- No longer stuns
- Wall impact damage removed
- Knock-back reduced
- Impact damage buffed
- Rocket Punch now deals minor impact damage to nearby enemies and knocks them back less than the primary target
- Charge up time buffed
Meteor Strike
- Slow on enemies removed
- Health regeneration reduced
- Cooldown acceleration reduced
- Health and cooldown benefits are better the first half of the duration, and are weaker for the last half of the duration
- Ultimate cost reduced (buffed)
- Outer-ring damage buffed
I’m not giving concrete numbers for his abilities because it would require play-testing to find a good spot numbers-wise.

Doomfist has the mobility to avoid most cc, and if you are stuck blocking in the open without knowledge of what cc has been used then that’s on you, you get the javelin.
It wasn’t just the one shot, it was that he could glitch his way into the sky box and then just drop out of Narnia to one shot you.
Doom punching Cassidy out of deadeye every 4 seconds
I’d have argued for this at various points in tank fists history as a viable means to buff him when he’s needed it. He has been underpowered in the past, and his vulnerability was a major downside with little upsides
Currently however Doomfist doesn’t need this kind of buff (nor any buff for that matter). He’s got more than enough edge in his kit with his mobility, that his overall physical vulnerability is a proper balancing point. This kind of change would need some equal sized needs elsewhere to balance it out.
Of course that’s only talking about how things are currently in s8. S9 is a whole new ball park for pretty much every character.
I think supports didnt complained about the punch itself.
But more of the slam uppercut combo that was basically a deatg sentence for supports with 0 mobility

Supports complain about every dps until they are nerfed into oblivion
Most supports don’t care, but they are tired of gutted escape/stopping power tools, to be easy kills.
Honestly with this game wide rework coming, doom fist returning with even his 200 damage punch wouldn’t be a problem in the slightest, and him being able to exclusively one shot tracer and widow with it would be kinda cute.
I say move him back to dps. Make the entire player base happy.
Fix the bugs. I can’t tell you how many times I rocket punch past the team scratching my head that I didn’t hit any of them.
