5 less shields and .4 longer charge on Rocket punch?
he’s still gonna generate way too much shields, 5 does nothing
and a .4 extra charge doesn’t change the fact it can LITERALLY 1-SHOT A SQUISHY and has some of the best mobility in game
The best defence:
now gains 15 less shields from using abilities, increased from 5
Rocket punch:
Removed the “100” free damage on his rocket punch, making it charge based, if you get instantly punched into a wall, it will now do 10 damage.
If you get punched the full 20 meters and slightly tap a wall, it will now do 10 damage
The longer doomist charges and the closer a wall, the more damage he will do, no more of this “i insta punched you so you take 150 damage free”
What are you talking about… these nerfs are huge. Did everyone just forget that Doom was F-tier before the shield buff? And RP is a huge nerf to his mobility and rollouts.

adding a .4 to Freeze makes Mei unable to make plays against main tanks, something she has consistently countered, if she catches a main tank out of position that’s the tanks fault
Mei’s freeze is also short range, and it’s blocked by barriers, if 6 people can’t focus a Mei then that is the team fault
Not only that but Mei has to use her abilities to even stay in the fight if she’s focused, making her weaker
all in all, getting a .4 on a freeze is a terrible idea, nerfing a short range beam that can be blocked by pretty much anything is foolish
5 is actually significant because that’s 5 per person, if he slams 4 people he’s gonna have 20 less shields now. There’s too many times where Doomfist has lived with a sliver of health when I’ve done a massive amount of damage to him, this should fix that. As far as the rocket punch, that’s also significant, that’s .4 seconds longer he is sitting in place which is plenty of time to deal damage or CC him
So it’s okay if it’s Doomfist, but Mei? No she becomes useless?
It doesn’t change the fact that she has CC on her primary, can wall people off from their teams and she can do her killing combo on any squishy.
He got nerfed while some of his counters got buffed.
Tracer, Roadhog and Sombra (its a buff to a defined playstyle) got changes that work against him.
The enablers of the barrier meta got nerfed.
He lost 5 shield gain which he either lives or dies on.
The .4 second longer charge means if his using it offensively you have a wider window to act against it and if his using it to escape it gives you more time to stop him if Doomfist wants the full distance.
Which also messes with his rollouts due to timing.
They are definitely not “huge.” And who cares about before the shield buff? He had even more bugs back then. They’ve fixed a decent amount but there’s more to fix really.
I don’t that going into the middle of the enemy team can be considered ‘no-risk’. Know what’s true No-Risk?
