Doomfist Console

Doomfist on console is already slightly frustrating enough as some combos are limited and snapping obviously isn’t possible with a controller but to add to that annoyance, rollouts are blocked in a lot of areas. I watch videos of people using Doomfist and that allows me to learn rollouts while I also discover new ones by chance in game, but half of the ones I see PC players do are blocked on Xbox like one on Rialto attack where you go up to the patio and you can usually sit on the roof in a little corner.

I still don’t get why they’re blocked

and By blocked I mean that you can’t go up there and it’ll forcefully push you off as if the spot doesn’t exist

To clarify I don’t mean regular sliding areas I can balance easily now I’m good at that I mean spots that are supposed to be allows are blocked by invisible walls now so I either can’t get up there or they put some invisible little cube around it so I can’t go near that area when I just saw someone on PC do it

(here’s a video for reference to the Rialto rollout)
[when overwatch is fun - YouTube]

this is what I saw on PC and I’m like “cool new rollout” then it just wouldn’t allow me to go up there on console, it acted as if there was an infinite slope there and no crevice between the wall and roof

The players are balancing their movement on those sloped areas just right enough to stay there. They’re not blocked. Just very difficult.

because the spot doesn’t exist, and no it doesn’t exist on pc either, they’re making use of roof sliding a technique taking a good amount of practice to stay balanced ontop of those slide zones since your movement keys/stick can somewhat control the direction you move across a roof they use good use of this little direction change to balance ontop of them

Can you get good at your hero FIRST and THEN complain please? The Forums sometimes I swear🙄

Roof sliding isn’t part of being good at doomfist?

no no I mean the stuck spots that are easy like finding a spot in between a wall and a slope (such as the long roof on junkertown near the attack spawn)

Can you clarify which spot in Rialto? Idk i dont find anything inconsistent.

I’ll link a video[when overwatch is fun - YouTube] this is what I saw on PC and I’m like “cool new rollout” then it just wouldn’t allow me to go up there on console, it acted as if there was an infinite slope there and no crevice between the wall and roof

Well thats actually the case, they patched that spot some time after Rialto launch, however, you can spine on a close spot as well, i will link if you want to see.

Also the vid is not that long ago, if you look closely you can see how he is actually floating.

Ohh I see this must’ve been an old clip (the video was uploaded recently) and I do see how he’s floating but the thing is that on console it’s a much much bigger slope/floating area than that

No. No, the spot was removed a long time ago, in andrew vid you can see how he didn’t actually land on the roof

Timestamp is 1:04:44 if it didnt work already, this vid is kinda the holy grail of doomfist parkour LOL.

holy crap thanks so much this video is actually gonna help me find more spots

If you just go play Doomfist Parkour to a custom game, you’ll need these things.

Some people are mean for no reason…

Yeah, but the things aren’t any different than those on pc. The only thing that is in fact different is the sensitivity. And yes, I play Doom parkours sometimes as well and I know a few Doom mains who have absolutely no problem with him on console. OP’s literally only complaining because they don’t know how to play Doom correctly/their sens is too low.

bro I’m complaining because the rollout got patched and I didn’t know calm down my balancing skill is fine

That is a fantastic beginning-of-round hiding spot for defending Pharah too. It’s not a flat surface you can stand on so your fuel doesn’t regenerate, but you need only just tap hover every once in a while and give some directional input to stay there. Good for booping players in the canal
