If you are not aware Florida Mayhem are changing their colors for next season to pink and black/white it seems.
Didn’t nearrly every team do new designs?
Or did most of them only do ow2 Designs, but same colors?
I saw Overwatch 2 Soul Tracer, still Gold and Black, But i think LA Valiants for example changed the Design too, but not the colors.
Mayhem is i think the only color change happening, so it might make sense.
As far as i know, it’s only Florida Mayhem, Los Angeles Valiant and San Francisco shock changing their colors.
I might be wrong though.

And there will be 100% Exclusive Skins for OWL tokens again at some point.

I heard something about them changing their colors, Blizzard have renamed some skins to “San Francisco 2018” or “Florida Mayhem 2018” and more on the PTR. So It’s best to get all the OWL skins (or as many as you like) that have “2018” in their names on the PTR if you’re a collector and like having unobtainable skins.
Oh. Wonder if they’ll let us keep the original colours. I bought Florida Mayhem Tracer because it looked too much like a reversed version of Kid Flash not to. I do like the new colours tho so it’ll be cool to have that as well, but I’m hoping we get to keep both variations if we purchased them previously.
Oh, wow… I might need to buy McDonald’s McCree. Ugh. I do not want to spend all my tokens on that. But McMcDonalds is #supernecessary.
I highly doubt Blizz would take away or alter a cosmetic you already own.
They’ve only ever changed a skin once (Casual Hanzo) and that was due to a fan outcry that it looked disappointing compared to the comic it came from.
Nah, I’m pretty sure there was something that happened with an OWL skin earlier this year. Zenyatta specifically I think. They changed his colours on a specific OWL skin which people who bought it didn’t like. Can’t remember the context exactly now, it was a while ago.
Okay… But that is still a precedent. I never did get a refund for when they ruined that skin.

Were you perhaps thinking of Zen-Nakji?
That uses the New York Excelsior colours due to that being the team Jjonak was on and I remember a few forum posts about the colours being ugly with the octopus design, though it was never changed and I’ve heard hide-nor-hair of a change to his other OWL skins either.
I did find a post on Reddit about some of Zen’s OWL skins being different from what they are in the actual OWL (The face is different) dated back in February but nothing came of that either that I can find.
I wanna say the Toronto defiant maybe? It was a mostly red and black skin I think.

Ah… Well, make that two alterations then.
However, I still highly doubt the skins people have already bought will be changed in any radical way. As somebody has already stated, an extra classification that they are 2018 editions has been added on the PTR so the likelihood of a separate 2020 edition is pretty high.
