I know no one cares, but lets remember our little friend who is as bad as Sym and reworked. Hes awful. Actually worse than before. He needs buffs but nobody likes playing games with Bastion in them in OW1 so I guess were gonna let him be bigger than most tanks at 300 hp and be a burden to support.

Bastion currently has:
- 200hp + 100armor = 230 effective health
Bastion, what he should get instead:
- 0hp + 250armor = 225 effective health
Which seems like a nerf, but it’s
- 30% Faster to heals from Supports for the first 2/3rds of the healthbar
- Health packs give 30% more health for the first 2/3rds of the healthbar
- Somewhere between 18% less Ult charge feeding to 30% less Ult charge feeding
how do you calculate this effective health?
Hes F tier now, wym? Hes very bad.

Bad morning calculations, I was thinking it’s 1.3x times armor. Fixed that in the comment.
But I went ahead and threw this into a topic and one guy is saying it’s 100 armor / (1-0.3) = 142 effective health
no we need the og bastion back , he was perfect how he was
On the other end, I have to actively remind myself that I need to heal Bastion like I would with any other teammate now. I’m not used to him not being able to self-heal yet

He’s not though, you and many people complaining about bastion are the same people who don’t know how to play bastion and or don’t wanna bother adapting to his new changes, because hands down bastion is awesome in ow2, he’s super fun, no more camping but overall very consistent

he’s not worse than before, he’s way more fun to play with his new kit, the problem is that he is way to easy to kill, he needs a survivability buff

what u trynna say is that other characters are allowed to have very cool buffs and nerfs and bastion cant because everyone hates him in the og overwatch
I mean basically. Bastion in OW1 never gets to be balanced, isnt even at the table for discussions of balance. He doesn’t get treated like ‘serious’ dps (top hitscan) and the requirements to support bastion as a teammate and counter him as the enemy may be why they keep him gimmicky. But in OW2 they removed his raw damage potential by a huge amount for burst damage potential and then also cut out his self healing. The self healing alone would make Bastion in OW2 a good, valid hero even if they dropped his health to 275. He would still get storm arrowed apart.
What do you mean though?! Bastion got some really cool changes, he got a grenade, his turret form is mobile, and also his ultimate is honestly a lot better than his old one imo, but hey that’s just my opinion

I don’t know where to land with him.
I like playing him, I think he’s so much more fun. But I don’t have a good baseline to compare it to - I didn’t play Bastion before and I wasn’t committed to playing him, so I have no prior experience/opinions on him.
I’m also trying to remember more fun does not necessarily mean more powerful or equally powerful. The excitement of something different might just be stronger than his actual position balance-wise.
He already got compensation buffs for recon mode and movement in turret.
If they reduce his size, or give him his self repair back it will come with a price. You know how the devs balance.
So are you willing to sacrifice more damage for more survivability? Because that’s how they do things. Just a question. I’m not stating a preference. I’m curious.
Hes worse than Sym. Sym is actually viable in some people hands. Her kit is just cluNky and doesnt fit in this game.
Basion on the other hand is doo doo. Every hitscan can do what bastion does but better. Hes a larger slower soldier with no heal.
They have to rethink the character and make him dynamic. They probably should have made him a Tank. Tank Bastion has so many possibilities
Bastion is really good in OW2. You aren’t playing him right if you think he’s bad.
