Don't buff mercy

Yes, I know when to stop beating a dead horse and end a conversation that is clearly not going anyway, while also stylin’ on them. That’s mature AND it’s efficient.

I’ve been on these forums long enough and participated on the topic long enough to have a pretty solid idea of who not to bother with when it comes to “discussion”.

But hey, thanks for your input, I will take it into consideration!

It is neither.

You challenged my position then did the equivalent of a kid sticking their fingers in their ears and yelling “LALALALALALALALALA” when I explained the reasons for my position.

With a GIF that says “LOL didn’t read it” and “Hater’s gonna hate.” Yeah, not really ‘styling’ is it. More on the line of toxicity than ‘styling’ by claiming that you, as a Hater, are not interested in what other people think.

May have been mass flagged as trolling or something, and he possibly got banned for it. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer person :japanese_ogre:

Agreed. Next time, better off just not responding to “those kinds” at all.

Mercys constantly amaze me in-game.

Some peoples thoughts simply aren’t that interesting or worth spending time reading. Simple as that.

Honestly I enjoy Mercy where she is.

I don’t even understand people that say her healing is bad? Like just a few days ago I had almost 20k healing in a QP game with Koth (something like 54% was on the card, I have to check and see if I kept the screenshot) and if her solo healing isn’t enough I switch to Moira for those AoE heals or Ana if we are tank heavy :man_shrugging:

Mercy should have never been a healer you need to pick in every scenario. She needed weaknesses and counter play to rez and I’m happy with where she is now.

Nice opinion, glad you shared it. But the way he did it wasn’t nice in the least.

It didn’t effect my feelings, he wasn’t talking to me. But there is a right way to say that you don’t agree with someone, like you did, and a wrong way to do it.

As big of a struggle as somebody ressing your pick, in other words according to some of you lunatic tantrum inducing

It really just shows how thin skinned people are when they realize no one wants to read their wall of opinion piece.

You could argue with the pick rate but she is really weak. The only reason why she is still viable is because a Mercy player stay at Mercy so you just drop a rank or two till you are back in your sweet spot. Of cause thees two ranks what Mercys got while she was OP with 5 man res and invulnerability (I still think it was a MM error and the performance bases SR just overrated 5 man res while invu certainly didn’t help to make it better)

And back to the pick rate, it seems many changes aimed more on making it less fun to play her rather then deal with problem. Obviously res is the problem and removing the teleporter didn’t help. Tweak it so it need a resources instead of making it painfully slow or re player on 20% health so you don’t let a player die because res heals for 500HSP.
Yea it is just frustrating maybe Mercy had a high pick rate because she is the only no-DPS in the game?

Yes, over an entire match, Mercy can heal for quite a bit.

However there’s several things going on with Mercy’s healing that can make it feel incredibly weak in moment to moment gameplay depending on the circumstances.

  1. If Mercy is healing, that’s literally all she’s doing.
  2. Mercy has no way of outputting significantly more single target healing if her beam isn’t enough.
  3. Mercy’s healing rate is out damaged by nearly every damage source in the game.

Add them together and you have instances where people Mercy is healing die anyway and the Mercy player (kinda rightly) feels like they just got punished for something that wasn’t their fault and they couldn’t have done anything about. And that sucks.

It really just sounds like some people want their favorite hero to have 0 weaknesses, balance be damned.
