Why was comp changed to the best of 5 format? The quick play mode was right there

I have never played a match that has last more than 45min, all 7 rounds.
Also, quick play has always been best of 5. Offering shorter matches for those who want that.

its so trash now, i literally only play overwatch and i only play stadium comp (unless for challenges or if im playing with a friend) the gadgets are stupid but i could get used to them, but making the games shorter just completely ruined it. im honestly considering just uninstalling if they dont revert it

I’ve been in a stadium QP match that was nearly an hour.
Team full of sustain builds versus team full of sustain builds can get ridiculous.

Blizzards playing another round of how fast can we sink things then whine about our numbers.
First they wanted bans, we fought that crap off
They they wanted drafts, we said no, they forced it anyways
Then they forced the point system from standard comp, we said no, they forced it anyways and broke it in the process costing people last seasons all-star skin
Then they added tracer, we said she’s broken, they left her in.
We asked for them to stabilize stadium, they added MORE crap they won’t be able to balance.
And now it’s best of 5 when no one wanted it.
Where is the competency?
The directors are complaining that they don’t get enough funding for the game. If I was funding this mess and saw a pattern of impaired judgement, I’d strip it to the bone too.

I agree and I dislike the change from max 7 rounds to 5. I played a couple games already and it feels like quickplay. I liked the longer format bc it gave time for the game and builds to breathe. This just feels too fast. I’m ok with quickplay being 5. It feels like it fits there. But I would like comp stadium to return to 7 rounds.

I’m not sure you’ve played the new comp. It’s best of 5 AND QP levels of cash.
Not at the end of rounds though, which grant up to 2500 more cash in QP than they do in Stadium.
I didn’t try it yet, you start with more cash in these rounds?
Because I always thought that the first round was the more useless andrepetitive and was the one that should be removed and they could start giving more cash at start instead.
Atleast they sometimes do what I want.
only happened once but hey, the community has ruined everything I enjoyed in stadium. 
whenever I raise my voice people tell me to bw quiet because its not their same opinion.
Same starting cash across both QP and Stadium anyway, as it was before.
