Everywhere I look, it feels like nobody in the Overwatch community cares about the story anymore. Rarely anyone ever talks about what Blizzard took from us and nobody’s trying to rally together and fight for what gave Overwatch a soul in the first place. It’s like all sympathy is lost now and everyone’s OK with stupid game modes and the same overpriced reskins over and over again.
No one cares because everyone’s already accepted the PVE’s dead, go to the comics and poorly-made cinematics for story.
PVE lost Activision a lot of money, and then Microsoft fired the entire PVE team immediately after purchasing Activision because they believed the team was a hindrance. Not exactly wrong, the PVE team wasted years of money and resources on unnecessary parts of the project which is why Activision cancelled most of the PVE.

I hear there’s rumors they are starting over and hiring a new game for a PVE game I hope it’s Overwatch, other wise my head canon Mei will remain a multiverse traveler.
