Does Sr Even Mean Anything?

As the title says.

I’m a 3.5k Dps player and i always seem to win against / do better against players who’s at 3.8k - 4k then i would at my own level being 3.5k like does sr even mean anything i’m not trying to be cocky or anything but I’ve had games where i roll 4k players but i seem useless at 3.5k idk tho

Not a whole lot, when your SR is also decided by RNG team and RNG meta.

I play on a team that is in a tier of 2000-2999, and no, SR does not matter in the slightest. My tank SR is at a down time of 2530, and I regularly beat up on tanks that are 2.9k

This game is heavily dependent on teamwork. So you can be alot better then someone in 1v1-situations, but still loose to them in team-situations. So if you can beat higher players easily in 1v1, then focusing on getting better at enabling others could help you climb more then furthering just solo mechanical skills.

What people here are showing is that within 500 SR there is not much difference, but when you look at like 1600 vs 2600 there feels like a bit of a difference.

It doesn’t really. Since you’re blessed with 500SR limits. Ultimately it’s who’s on your team.

SR doesn’t mean much … your skill has very little impact on the game.

sr is an area more so in this game than any game else.

For example, should 1 have 2800 sr on a role currently, his real skill lvl can be between 2500-3100, or even a larger area, because how inaccurate an elo system is inside team-dependant game, with 6 people on a team instead of 5 nonetheless.
