Does Poland exist in the Overwatch world?

We all know Poland disappeares off the map at times and doesn’t come back for a while, so does Poland exist in the Overwatch world? For being a pretty sizeable and important European country we have no Polish hero or map.

There’s no italian hero either, or Croatian, or Bosnian, or Finnish or Spanish or idk any other EU country hero not currently in the roster. What makes Poland so special they’d have to drop everything they’re doing and create one? Im sure at some point in the future every country will have their hero/map but prioritizing one country over another is an absurd demand.

They should just show us a map of the world.
Everyone would be satisfied, knowing whether their country survived or not.

Well, Poland is a very old country coming into existence just after the year 1000, unlike Italy who wasn’t formed till much later after that, and Finald wasn’t formed till hundreds of years after Poland too, I’m not saying they need to drop anything and make a hero or map for them, I’m just curious if they exist

I can buy this arguement. As a Swede, we now have 2 and I am not sure Sweden is on paper this important. I honestly thought we would NEVER or very late into the life of Overwatch, see a Swedish character beside Torbjörn and one using Swedish for real.

You realise that we only have 26 heros, I don’t know ow if you have looked at a map recently but we have significantly more countries then 26, so Poland is not special in not having a hero associated with it

Probably not. It probably was completely annihilated during the Omnic Crisis.

1772, 1793, 1795 and 1939.
Some even consider other dates, which add up to seven partitions, but that’s a stretch (it wasn’t “Poland”, but different entities, such as the Duchy of Warsaw).
