Does Overwatch 2 Preload overwrite Overwatch 1 files?

Will the Overwatch 2 pre-load take up the same folder as Overwatch 1 and overwrite the old files or should I uninstall Overwatch 1 to save space?

Don’t uninstall OW1.

The new Overwatch 2 client should use your existing files, so there is no need to uninstall, however, you need at least 50 GB of free space to run Overwatch.
