Does Junkrat do too much damage with low aim skill?

maybe his nades should do 20% less damage per bounce, so he’s still rewarded for landing direct hits, but spamming an area isn’t as effective a strategy.

I just copied and pasted the HTML font…

people would still cry about him because they would still walk into his nades and die. Trust me that is the issue here.

I mean the irony here is that it’s the opposite. Junkrat is balanced around fighting people who CAN aim, which naturally makes him oppressive against people who cannot.

You seem to misunderstand the post. It wasnt my point it was a question if people thought otherwise. You dont need to practice nearly as long with McCree with Junkrat. Doesnt take long to get used to him but the penalties are pretty minimal compared to his damage output. Clearly he was doing too much damage when they nerfed his charge.

Also you put a lot of hours into Junkrat so you got an angle

I think it does too much damage considering by the third bounce its lost all momentum. I’d like to see them either reduce the amount of bounces each nade has before it explodes.

Or they could incentivise direct hits, dealing 120-140 for a direct hit and having the damage drop off each time the nade bounces off the floor (so wall bouncing is still viable).

I already gave you one?

Again, Spamming with him wont get you anywhere after Plat, Junkrats that actually try to aim their nades and use the walls to their advantage are way more skillful.

Ok lets say it like this:
He doesnt require much aiming to start playing him but it really demands heavy skill aiming to be good with him.

Thats and horrible idea, that punish Junkrat for trying to use the wall bounce to get harder shots

Let me try!

Darn. LOL

He’s still easy to punish which is the important thing. If junkrat was easy to play but impossible to kill then yeah i’d be like he is op. But that isn’t the case so to answer you question no it doesn’t bother me.

Nah i get a junkrat on the enemy team every other game. They are usually shooting over a wall onto the point killing my clueless healers and then getting his ULT in 5 seconds and then killing me. His ult charge is insane and so are his hit boxes. Dodge the bullets do not apply here.

I’d argue thats a problem with the aforementioned heroes, as McCree suffered extensive nerfs with only bug fixes to compensate for it. And soldier is losing some of his effectiveness due to the amount off cc and damage mitigation, making it harder for him to effectively use his ult.

The question was if you think he is not room for you to attack others on their skill or playstyle or SR.

You though played a lot of Junkrat so you will have an issue of not being neutral.

No it isnt people that cant aim having issue especially when his explosives knock people hard. I dont see how it is harder to aim with Junkrat then Hanzo or Widowmaker myself. Yet you do a lot of damage with less difficulty of aiming. Again though your view is clear – you think Junkrat is a high aim skill hero.

Just saying that people at those ranks barely know how to deal with Junkrat, even if its a bad one

You literally just point out the problem, your teammates not evading the nades (which again is common at those ranks) thats why he looks OP at those ranks

Yes and that is the problem! There are so many heros that require good aim etc to be good and yet you have heros like Junkrat that are sooo good and don’t require nearly as much skill to be as useful

No

20 character limit

You also seem to forget that junkrat has a whole team behind him who can enable him and also map design can impact how people can evade or jump. You cant exactly dodge his grenades if it in a closed room and close quarters fight.

Junkrat generally punishes bad positioning. It’s not that he requires no aim, he just benefits a lot more when the enemy makes mistakes and you get those ridiculously stupid kills everyone complains about.

He is also a threat against Tracer and Genji, which is a reason you see him a lot at high ranks. Against other heroes, he isn’t as hard a counter nor nearly so troublesome.

Do you take too much damage with low dodging skill?

Appreciate the answer but you are Junkrat Main that has 80hours with him so you obviously will be biased.

First im neutral when it comes to balance, regardless of the hero i play

And second i never said that Junkrat was easier to aim than Hanzo or Widow

But Junkrat requires
high skill aiming to be good with him and not just “SpamRat”

Same for you (unless you go yolo) and Junkrat is meant to be strong on closed rooms and close combat but lacks when it comes to medium or long range
