I know their communication was not great prior to Blizz con but now that their big project is revealed it feels like it’s been ten times quieter. I felt that since they said we MIGHT get one new hero before the game’s release and we don’t even know when that is.

Yes, But they have a reason for it.
Why release anything for the main game when your population might be 5 times higher when overwatch 2 comes out, which will allow them to sell more stuff.
Anything that is good will be saved until the population spike. Overwatch is on cruise control until then

Sure, but it’s a valid excuse. People can only do one thing at a time and it’s not like the OW2 team is a separate entity.
Its not just an excuse. Its a way for them to take content that could have (and possibly would have) gone to the main game, in the form of updates/events that we’ve all been expecting, and monetize it.

Oh yea thats what ive been up to, I just partake in arcade lootboxes during events and complete my placements just to save for whatever is to come in the future
because it is an excuse, imagine all of those resources used to refine comp.

ppl just wanted lore campaing halo like and they just could keep adding chapters as dlc instead we got this pve thing that is just archives 2.0.
They been alredy taking part of work from overwatch at almost begining of a game planning overwatch 2. They just over time pulled more resorces into it.

They did say they are going dark to work on OW2 so that is exactly what is happening. But I think the payoff will be worth it. This coming year is time for people to play other games and hop back on during the events. Its what a lot of people did last year too lol. The playerbase will start to build up again early 2021 as the game will likely launch that year.
