Does Cassidy suck now, or do I?

I seemingly can’t get anything done with this hero anymore.
Is there a change of tactic that I am missing?

He’s a support body guard. You stick around supports, anything comes close you blow them up.

He’s not good into super rangy comps. But he’s still a top 3 dps.

Top 3 where? He isn’t in t500 lead boards much. If overbuff is to be believed, on the low end of winrates. Not played in owcs, at least among the top Asia teams.

#3 most picked in t500.

He’s always in a negative winrate, it means nothing. He’s a counterswap hero.

Pro play doesn’t matter.

hes literally the weakest hes ever been. the only people who think hes still decent dont play him

I wouldn’t say “it means nothing,” but agree that Cass is strong and his WR is artificially deflated by being a frequent go to swap when your team is already losing.

I just looked at them, he was certainly less than ashe tracer and widow for sure.

So I’m still curious where he is top 3. As it’s not top500, it’s certainly not among the average player, it’s not in pro play aka the very top. He just is not a top 3 dps.

He’s top 3. And even if things have changed, he’s like neck and neck with widow. So top 3, top 4 whichever one. He’s not bad at all.

We don’t have stats for low elo so all we can go off of is bum overbuff, which has him as a top 3 dps in pickrate for every single rank in the game.

McCree is a comfort pick. People don’t want to work hard. Easy mode characters are always popular. At the moment he is pretty mediocre, but still better than a lot of trashcan DPS.

People who say he’s suck generally are used to playing him as Hanzo or Widow.

Now he’s a great deal less ranged but a good defender from mobile and flanker gankers.

He remains the only DPS hero allowed to consistently threaten Tracer. Who is now meta from bronze to GM.

That alone makes him a top 3 DPS, before even getting into the fact that he is one of the best mid range DPS with a strong survivability tool.

there are quite literally more junkrat otps in t500 currently than cree players lmao where are you getting this from

Junk mains are built different it’s not our fault hitscan crutchers can’t get good and make it work whenever they aren’t S tier for a season :man_shrugging:

cass is hella strong. Sick of ppl saying hes weak cos of range, there arent often hes out of range. And if he is, so are you.

That’s just objectively incorrect in every way possible???

Yes, McCree is pretty bad again, because Blizzard hasn’t learned how to adjust his fall off range by integers less than 5.

Does he need to be top 3 in order to be viable? There is something like 18 DPS, being 9-10 is average. Everyone’s favorite hero can’t always be top 3.

Naw, he doesn’t. But imo he is in the bottom half of dps. And there is pretty much no reason to pick him over ashe.

He’s good in brawl. I like him for clash

No he wasn’t. He had a pretty good winrate before.
