Does buying the OW2 Watchpoint Pack include PVE?

so quick question, i am thinking of buying the watchpoint pack to play the beta until Oct 4. When the official game releases with each PVE content, will i have access to that or i need to pay another 40 pounds to get into the PVE?

i know that ow2 pvp will be ftp but i am wondering regarding pve.

PvE is in 2023, no PvE for now, watchpoint pack or not.

PVE is probably separate, considering it didn’t say anything about it.

This is a good question, and it’s notably absent. I will say “no”, since the Watchpoint pack includes:

  • 2 Legendary skins ($20 value)
  • OW 1 ($12.99 value by now)
  • 2000 v-currency ($20 value or higher)
  • Old Legendary pack ($10 value or higher)
  • icon
  • beta access
  • Chad flex rights

So no, probably not. OTOH I do suspect:

OW 2 PVE “Release” to include:

  • All missions to date unlocked
  • One Premium Battle-Pass
  • Maybe $1000 v-currency
  • icons/sprays
  • Equivalent version of new Legendary skin pack for OW 2

EDIT: I recant the skins portion, I suspect there will be two tiers - regular $39.99 with all I described, and a “Legendary” edition for $59.99 that will likely include more v-currency, more skins, etc. Pretty sure the basic package will include a couple more skins, and the launch of 1-2 new characters as well, maybe a third.

The beta doesn’t go until october 4th. If you buy the pack you are purchasing 3 weeks of limited beta, and you will get the beta for free without the watchpoint pack anyway. Buying the watchpoint pack doesn’t give you access to any PvE or future betas…

If you only care about beta access I would just wait to get the free access… they said everyone will have beta access by a certain date and some earlier.

We don’t know how it’s monetized yet, but I’m sure the PVE content will cost money (maybe not the hero missions, though?). Probably in the form of story chapters or something. So probably safe to say that no, it won’t include pve content, but you will have 2000 of the currency, which may be used to purchase the content.

You forget a third beta wave is coming before Oct 4th, likely in late August/early September. Guarantee you that WP holders get into it…

No, they don’t… Stop lying to people who are trying to decide if they should spend their money or not. It states what is in the watchpoint pack and beta 3 access is not one of them…

I was part of the previous limited Beta where you had to watch 4hours from some streamer. Will there be anything simliar this time or your only chance to beta until Oct 4th is buying ow2 watchpoint pack?

You can still opt-in for the beta on their website again and apparently you’re guaranteed to get let in at some point, at the very least by the last weekend.

I am not “lying” in any shape or form, it is clearly speculation with cause when I say “guarantee you”…

Truth is I bet the third phase is pretty open, but WP holders will get in. No way they won’t in my opinion. Happy?

I mean on some level it is expected a reader will understand that when its not explicitly stated its more than reasonable to expect it. But if it makes you feel good to hate on the pack still, by all means.

Okay so basically the second beta has options:
The watchpoint pack purchase guarantees you get beta access for the full beta time.
Or you opt in to the beta on the overwatch 2 webpage. They will then give you a code at some random time during the beta. Every free player will have access by a certain date.

There is no news of a third beta requirements. There will probably be a third beta with different requirements at a later date.

We aren’t talking about opinions are speculation. I understand you’re a blizzard shill, but the pack literally states what it gives and what you are claiming or speculating isn’t on there, and therefore it isn’t happening. They can’t lie about what they are selling you lmao… I’m pretty sure that is illegal, you know to say what the product you are selling is and then for the received product to not be exactly what was stated.

Look, small chance, WP holders don’t get into Beta Phase 3, but no reason at all to think they won’t. It’s basically a given with the way this phase is being opened up. Personally, I have little doubt WP holders won’t get automatic access; my guess is the language for the codes will be updated once they get through Beta phase 2 and begin planning for Beta phase 3.

Honestly, they might even go so far (wild speculation here) that WP pack holders literally get access in the time between Phase 3 and Oct 4th as it would provide valuable data.

It must get tiresome to proven wrong on your points repeatedly…
