So I’ve just introduced my sister to Overwatch, and it’s been difficult. She doesn’t play FPS games, so she isn’t very good. Considering we’re twins, I wholeheartedly believe that she can get better with practice lol, but so far she hasn’t really been given a chance.
I’m between Plat/Diamond depending on the role, and I’ve been using my main account to play with her. I’m assuming that this is why we keep getting enemy players that are too advanced for her, so is my best bet to make an alt account so we get newer players?
We’re also getting a lot of stacks despite us queuing as a duo. This garbage experience has made me wonder…does the Bronze skill bracket even exist anymore? I feel like I’ve never seen a single Bronze player for years lol, and I was really low Bronze once. I just want my sister to be able to play with people around her own skill level, and to enjoy that with her. Getting stomped in every game is no fun.
And just as a small PSA, it would be really cool if members of this nasty playerbase wouldn’t harass new players so much. It’s very pathetic. We all started somewhere.

Yep. And pump the brakes. Just troll around a bit. Do challenge runs. Whatever. It makes the games unbelievably easy even if you have the same rank. The forums are wack and have literally no idea how the matchmaking actually works. You can trust Auntie Buddha.
The bronze of today are the platinums of yesterday. Bronze players will smash a new player. That’s normal.
They should also just stop harassing, like, everyone. That would be nice!

Your alt will just go back to your level over time. Bronze does exist. I see really bad players in my games, and I’m only Silver on DPS. The game does a pretty good job at mirroring. I can tell when I play with a GM DPS. My mirror does about as good as I do and the other DPS does as well as my friend on DPS. His mirror is too advanced for me, but I learned to take cover better. They hit every shot, lol. It’s quite a gap, so it’s going to feel odd.
