I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’d rather they bring back 2cp than play push…I find it horribly designed
i like the esperancia map, but not the other 2
I think they have potential, but need to be revamped a bit. Also map pools need to be hurled into the sun so I’m not getting them all the time.
It’s pretty dumb of them to basically release an experimental mode instead of slowly phasing it in and phasing out 2cp (if still necessary). Again just them doing weird dumb stuff to make OW2 look like an actual new game that has new things since they have nothing else.
I’d rather not have 2CP in the main modes under any circumstances. Push has no bearing on that for me. If Push is so unpopular that it gets removed then whatever, but I wouldn’t want 2CP to replace it.
Ic your point…I would be okay with push AND 2cp in qp though
I like that their structure allows you to reach the goal in different ways, unlike the corridors of the payload maps. But it annoys me that they have the exact same defect of the CtF: situations in which it is not convenient to reach the goal. especially in bringing the robot close to the enemy respawn when you are already significantly ahead.
And of course, the aesthetics of bots aren’t quite as nice as payloads.
I love push, but I main Tracer and she has a good time on those maps. Feels like I get 3 control games for every 1 push, and I hate that.
Ok.
I don’t know why everyone who dislikes push brings up 2CP.
We get it. You like defensive modes over aggressive modes coz you lose those.
some people like push but they are even less than the ones who like 2cp. the mode is horrible in every possible way, especially the fact that a first fight clean up gives you the win most of the time. as i said before, i would donate 50sr every push map if i could, but leaving gives you a ban in comp as well so…
Push needs some rule adjustments to make comebacks possible. Lose the first two fights and a loss is almost guaranteed. This is how it even played out at OWL level.
Just stop. Only issue is the timer. 10 min is too long. Its really possible for comebacks when both team equally good, but almost impossible to finish it under 10min.
I’m not going to pretend like 2cp wasn’t bad but I do really miss it in quickplay. It was fun to play on until you were in comp lol. The way you played on 2cp gave more variety.
yea i want 2 cp back especially lunar horizon colony and paris
still just had a game this morning as rein. our team stomped theirs and i had potg… so that was fun…
Im fine with push.
The matches could be shorter though, if it goes full time it feels like a slog
i didnt hate 2cp but when it came up on OW1 i did kind of sigh and expect a long drawn out draw.
I do miss hanamura and volskaya though.
I’m not a fan of the mode in general, but Esperancia is by far the best map in the mode. New Queen Street can burn in a fire. That map is awful, easily worse than Paris which was my least favorite map before NQS.
Colosseo and Curcuit Royal are pretty maps but I don’t really enjoy the game mode. It takes too long and walking back from spawn as Sigma/Ramattra is a pain.
if they’re not gonna remove this mode then can they can at least give us a voiceline to tell our teammates not to push the robot towards the enemy’s base at the end of the game
I’m ok with push but only slightly more than C2P. With that being said… for the love of all that is holy, don’t bring back C2P. Just make Push better.
Walking to 2cp final point is worse as the enemy team brings the bot back to you. Far less walking in push.
I enjoy push as its more dynamic. Not fighting over the center all game like in control.
So I enjoy the MAP. Not the gamemode. The maps are well designed and think they could work great! As another mode. But the mode of Push itself is… incredibly lame.
I’ve said this in another post. But essentially the problem is how hard it is to catch up. When one team pushes it about halfway, if you want to catch up, you have to win that team fight to take the robot back. Then, you have to wait for the robot to run back to your barricade. By the time you have gotten back, the enemy team has spawned and gotten there also before the robot has a chance to start pushing again and now you have to win a second team fight to push. If you haven’t pushed it very far, now you have to have the robot push it if you did manage to win the second fight. But now you’ve got a THIRD team fight, with guaranteed multiple ults so you have to hope your team has made the right switches and ult management to win 3 team fights in a row just to catch up.
