Kiriko is the eptiome of the Ovewatch 2 development team. Generic, uninspired, boring and a 4th rate FTP character.
Overwatch Team: “She’s a badsass women, she’s the greatest thing ever!”
Even Soujourn feels generic.
The Junkerqueen feels like the last vestige of the true Overwatch soul, and she was mostly planned and designed during the start of Overwatch to about the time Jeff left.

It needs to look generic to make it easier to ad flare to skins, Not to mention all heroes with their basic skin look pretty generic…

Agree with all of this. JQ is a great character. Sojourn and Kiriko are as generic as they come and wouldn’t feel out of place in Valorant.

have to play her first but the healing ofuda looks kinda cool. i liked the graphic on some of the reveals 5 cards on your ui. then of course im gonna try and snipe with the kunai but it will probably be harder than it seems
If what you say is truth, then at least she won’t be able to ruin this game as all the previous supports released, but I’m still in doubts.

though I’ll have to disagree on sigma – i think he’s pretty exciting as a hero design.
i disliked it at first but it quickly grew on me and he’s in my top three for sure.

honestly she kinda looks like a dva skin and she seems a bit too “flawless”. Like they made a generic anime girl to try and catch the weeb audience. She kinda sounds like an oc as well “so there’s this shimada trainee that formed her own team of cool characters and she’s sweet and cool”

I think these kinds of posts just make the devs depressed lol. I think Kiriko is fine aside from her fox looking just like the Paladins fox.
Her legendary cyber skin looks completely reinvisioned so many of the legendaries will look more inspired than the default skins and concepts.
I’ve even seen forum posts saying JQ is uninspired. I feel sorry for any hero devs that skim through forum titles.
it reads like bad fanfiction, doesn’t it? meanwhile fans are out here actually making dope, unique designs and this is what we get on live game after waiting so long.

“so i was an old overwatch team member and now i’m back”
that’s it, that’s her entire backstory basically and her personality is “generic female soldier”. Kiriko at least had some energy to her.
also i’m not a fan of sojourn’s design, her leg looks weird in the sense they look like they belong on a different character

meh i’m not a fan of saying “the fans do better” simply because fans basically have no limits in what they can imagine. Making a few mockups videos is much easier than having an entire pipeline to respect.
i’d say her model looks a bit off. She looks a bit too much like an action figure, especially the abs and the hair. She doesn’t feel like she’s as good as she was in the posters
