I personally feel that freya is in an unbalanced state being significantly more over-tuned than other dps characters currently and while I believe she requires skill, the value that the character provides from minimal effort feels ridiculous to play against. From her secondary fire giving a near instant high burst damage with head shot potential and even more follow-up potential from the reloads her quick dash give to her high movement giving her escape options without much thinking, not to mention her projectile speed being extremely high for the damage that it does. While I don’t believe that her entire kit needs to be gutted to make her more balanced, adding something like a drawback mechanic where the longer you hold the right click the more damage it does, would feel much better to play against.
Only if I made the mistake of going Roadhog, cause my god does she shred him.
Yeah, I don’t think she’s all there either. She sounds cool in the head, but I have a feeling she’s got some latent issues, perhaps relating to personal choices and how others make her feel about them. Her becoming a bounty hunter is probably a reaction to getting told, “I told you so,” too many times. She’s isolating herself from her former friends and going out of her way to hurt them while feigning emotional independence. It’s a very toxic cycle that’s just going to make everyone unhappy in the end.
I feel like how much she can spam right click will probably need to be tuned. The way her mobility functions is kinda jarring and unfun for me to track but I’m not sure if thatl need to be tuned or if it’s something that’s new and I just need to get use to. That right click tho…
She definitely feels overtuned.
I picked her up a few times only and have consistently had a 5:1 KD ratio. The cooldowns are too forgiving, and her right click fires way too fast for how much damage it can do.
I’ve been playing her a lot to try for the pixel spray, and she has so many counters. She’s not as strong as Echo, Pharah, Mei, Tracer, Soldier, etc.
Too squishy and punishable in high elo, low A tier.
Damage is good, mobility is good.
Just can’t challenge and live for more than 3 seconds.
Or basically tracer with a crossbow.
Very high skill ceiling.
Don’t know how she feels in low elo, probably busted.
The frequency of her right clicks is annoying to deal with, but I haven’t really fully put my mind together on her kit.
…maybe they ought to increase the cooldown of her horizontal dashes.
