Yeti is just free wins unless you’re playing against a 5 stack.
- Run away from Mei’s the whole game and farm meat.
- At the final meat, wait for Mei’s to come to you and then farm 2 kills for free usually, the Mei’s that are sane will have already hid by then while their teammates fed.
- Jump across the map (Mei’s can’t catch up) and farm on 1 or 2 Mei’s that have respawned.
- By the time their team actually is able to walk across the map to help them you should have 1 or 2 kills.
- Rinse and repeat and keep running to meat, final ult should be a free game but usually you will have finished at step 4 since most Mei’s feed in step 2.
Also it shouldn’t have to be said but since I have actually seen some Yeti’s do this:
There are multiple meat spawns most of the time. NEVER ENGAGE THE ENTIRE MEI TEAM ALONE FOR MEAT UNLESS ITS YOUR LAST ONE IN WHICH CASE ITS A FREE GAME FROM ALL THE KILLS.
I am usually very good at it as the yeti but I as a result I start getting matched against some sweaty tryhards.

If all the Meis hide when you get to three meat you can just wait until the map is filled with meat. If they don’t, you can get easy kills. In my dozens of games as Yeti across the years, I’ve never lost.
I did had win agains yeti and i was not in any stack, things happends i guess.
My strat was to not get close to yeti that was one meat away from ulting. Also i saw him being trapped few times.
Players who don’t know how to control Winston’s movement, or how to exploit the fact that he can leap over buildings, tend to really struggle as the Yeti. There’s a lot of new players, so I’m guessing there’s a lot of people who struggle on Yeti.
In the past, I’ve definitely gotten Yeti matches against players who did a great job of capitalizing on my mistakes or hiding in non-standard places. This year, I couldn’t tell you because I still haven’t gotten a Yeti game in 32 tries.
Went in once and got totally rolled as the yeti and just decided the game mode was garbage and no skin is worth the level of frustration of all those awful game modes for a character that is almost unplayable outside of niche situations.
the few other tries were as hunters and people just kept suiciding off the ledge to let the yeti win.
Game modes are pretty meh imo.
I’ve never played the yeti mode because I figure that I will get put as the Yeti and suck at it since I’m not very good with Winston so I just haven’t even tried.
