When Mercy was OP, she was almost a must-pick for every comp game.
Will this happen to Brig as well?
Also, which heros should be used to go along with Brig in comp next season?
what do you think?

No she wonāt be must pick. Her weakness are very obvious and exploitable. And unlike mercy when she got reworked a comp can work/win without Briggitte, because she doesnāt bring the utility res did.
no, I donāt think so.
her heals are weak (outside of combat) her tanking is weak and her damage is weak. uncoordinated teams arenāt going to know how to properly utilize her and it will either be solo tank or solo heal.
Situationally very good at best.
I could see Brigitte+Orisa/Roadhog combo, situationally
I believe she will be very situational. Im thinking CP maps she may be good with a deathball comp also any escort or 2 CP map that has tight chokes where deathball can work. She is only melee and has no real way of reaching high ground. Since she takes the off tank role it will usually be better to have Dva in that slot
Sheās pretty weak if youāre not running a deathball ā¦so no
And the main problem is she is going to be picked as a 2nd healer all the time instead of an off tank which is actually where she is strongest .
She is a must pick for a comp with a Rein. Outside of that she isnāt that great. She is too slow for dive and too aggressive for Orisa bunker comps.
I would like to agree, but considering the amount of play I have been seeing her with in collegiate level play and even in EU Contenders, she can easily become a must pick because of the kind of composition she creates. My team has been seeing people run this comp
Rein
D.Va
Road
Brigitte
Moira
Lucio/Mercy (sometimes mercy, more often than not rarely)
and it is a serious pain to play against. It easily counters a coordinated Dive comp, standard rein/zar, and (if the players are good enough) quad tanks. the Rein/Brig/Road combo is monstrous to almost anything that walks in front of it and D.Va can easily take care of the supports in the backline. Its cancerous and fairly hard to fight against; especially if the team is coordinated
Yes triple tank with Brig and quad tank woth Brig are very powerful with a good Moira + x 2nd healer . The amount of sustain is difficult to handle , they do have weaknesses against junk and Pharah comps still since they can do max damage without getting too close , but it takes coordination, the brig suffers if you arenāt using her as a tank and only have 1 other healer, her healing is Okay but not enough to count as a secondary healer .
No. Her value is almost entirely in countering on the enemy team, unlike every support whose value comes from synergy with their allied team. Her inherent unreliability is going to hurt her a lot in a role like Support which demands reliability.
I think sheāll be swapped for Lucio in certain comps to counter specific heroes, i.e. dive tanks/dps, but outside countering divers, I see her struggling to find relevance when the other off-healers can perform their jobs just as well without exposing themselves to risk, and far better than a Brigitte who plays safe.
Exactly she is very good at protecting other supports or DPS and enabling them to get more of their job done . The issue with her is going to be how incorrectly she is played in season 10, so Iām almost going to just laugh at Brig comps that only have like her and a Lucio or her and a mercy and just blow up everything with Rat knowing they canāt out heal the incoming damage .
No.
Sheāll dominate low ranks, because everything dominates low ranks, but the higher you go the less you should see her since sheās so easy to focus down.
She is. But if you play a purely defensive Brigitte (i.e. take minimal risks, exist purely to protect the backline), then you lose out on a huge amount of your kit. If you run an offensive Brigitte, then youāve got all the weaknesses of a CQC hero with no mobility, and a big target on your back that says ākill meā, by virtue of being a Support.
Sheāll be a counter-pick rather than a baseline hero you want on your team. Youāll pick her to deal with certain threats, and like you said, protect your co-healer or enabling DPS, but thereāll be just as many situations where you take one look at the enemy team and go ānope, not going to do anything but feed against thatā and switch to another support.
I agree. I play for my schoolās team and weāve been seeing this comp a lot more in the Tespa Spring Series and even in the EU contenders. My team is trying to develop a counter and our counter is⦠odd. what we have gotten to sorta work so far. weāve tried
Winston
reaper
phara
mercy
moira
lucio (i think, im probably forgetting something different, but that doesnt matter at this point i guess)
this comp still needs a TON of work to counter the brig cancer comp. with the winston diving in he basically paints a target on himself against the opponents front line, but if theyāre looking at him, it leaves the damage dealers like reaper and phara open to focus the important targets and disrupt the massive amounts of healing the cancer comp puts out.
We came up with this comp mid game so I know it isnt perfect, but it opened us opportunities to create a more competitive game. If you (or anyone for that matter) can improve on this it would be greatly appreciated :3
We honestly wonāt know until she gets in comp. She seems op now because no one is really playing as a team. It wonāt be until people use teamwork with her until we even know that sheās op. Right now, she seems average.
Not at all. I can see her seeing a lot of use on certain maps or in Reinhardt comps, or being brought out situationally if, say, thereās a Genji jumping all over the supports and no one wants to play Winston. And Iām sick of playing Winston so Iām probably going to be doing that.
she is live for EU Contenders (im pretty sure) and in the Tespa Spring Series (college level). there are some pretty cancerous comps involving her. Itāll be easier to watch contenders play here, but it should be relatively easy to find college players on sundays playing their matches
Brig isent must pick. Just a always viable due to low effort and consistent results.
