It could apply to the phones situation as well, to block Russian access to their new game all together.
Personally, I wouldn’t mind, since I play on EU. I encounter so many toxic Russian players.

I guess fair enough, but US forums are pretty braindead. People think they’re stuck in their ranks because of every single factor except themselves and then whine how ow2 is bad or whatever

I doubt they blacklisted anybody, but others have said that you need a phone number in the appropriate region, international numbers will be rejected.

Hardly anybody posts there, so who cares? In the early days of the game, when the Devs actually posted on the forums, they never posted on the Europe forums, so a lot of people just moved to this one. Not like there’s any point in segregating the forums anyway besides reporting issues relating each region’s servers.

Maybe it’s because u focus on that or it’s easier to spot a “russian” player if their name has kyrillic letters.
Russian players in WoW and OW are mostly rly polite and good at the games or just silent in my experience.
This whole post sounds like “I hope russians can’t play” anyway.
There were a few dev posts like the famous quote about voice line spam being a reportable offense.
I know russian language, so I can understand what they are saying very well. 99% of time when it’s a toxic player it’s a russian player in my games. Especially in arcade.

We’re all playing on one giant server, the dropdown menu on the bnet launcher where you can pick your region doesn’t work anymore been that way since June 2021
Before EU and Americas servers had a different friend list, had to change the launcher to the region you wanted to play, you could even pick Asia and play only on Asian servers lol
So, you are going to tell me that in 100 games which have a toxic player that 99 of them are russian?
I play on EU, too. That must be in your imagination…
