Dude Ana main on console?? Nice! I’m on PS4 stuck in gold… I mostly solo q so that’s my fault. Do you have any recommendations on how to climb with Ana?

Nope. I appreciate a skilled Ana and even more so the person brave enough to play her.
ana isnt a troll pick, but she is by far the worst healer in the game while also being the hardest. so atm there is no good reason to play her if you want a fair match.

…If they position themselves well, have great aim, and get more kills than deaths then they are fine.
No I just mean don’t use her on maps where she doesn’t have good sightlines and generally don’t run her on attack.

Just kidding. Ana is amazing. I’m not Kashi, but the biggest thing with Ana is positioning, and aim consistency. Fortunately, for console we recently got friendly aim assist for her, so that helps.
Another tip is to communicate constantly with your team. “Tracer is on me.” “Reaper is flanking”. Also, I suggest going and practicing landing sleep darts on AIs.
Ana’s scoped shots have tracer rounds and are hitscan (they land immediately), but her hip shots do NOT have tracer rounds but are not hitscan. So hip firing can be useful when you’re trying to be stealthy at mid-range, but a lot of Ana mechanics are quickscoping.

kinda, but at least she can heal, unlike other troll picks like torb, mei, symm, hanzo, widow, genji, mccree, doomfist, bastion…

Dude. How did you get “Ana is map/mode situational” from me saying that Ana does poorly against being dove/sheilds in general/chip damage/frequent accidental body blocking?
I wouldn’t agree on worst healer in the game… she has great potential to pump out a lot of healing depending on the player using her. I can out heal lucio, zen and Brigitte very easily.
She might fit better in this new meta as an off healer alongside a Moira or Mercy in this new meta.
On maps where Ana can actually position herself for sniping, she is great. Height and distance advantage helps her out so much especially with her allies body blocking her shots/nades. Winston really messes her up though. His shield blocks Ana’s healing, and he is able to jump up to her perch and take her out.
The saving grace for Ana right now is that Winston is not as popular in the current Brigitte dominated meta. While Ana’s anti-nade is super strong against AOE healing. A slight buff I think she could use though is for her grenade to be corrosive and remove enemy armor.

That’s the thing I’m worried about. With Brigitte being picked all the time, I can’t confidently pick Ana with brigitte as second healer. Your right though with Moira or mercy that is always a great combo in my book.

Unless your winrate on a hero is <40% overall, or <1hr played, I generally trust a teammates judgement in selecting a hero.
100% rather you play what you want/trust than expect you to try and shoehorn a meta pick.

I clarified my opinion. I don’t care whether you dislike her healing hitting full health targets.
I wouldn’t say troll pick exactly, but she’s nearly always a bad idea. She’s probably my least favorite of the healers to see on my team.
That being said if not hard countered and if highly skilled Ana can be a total menace, effective as a healer while also sleep darting key players, throwing nades into teamfights, picking off Pharah, etc.
I solo queue too.
You have to practice your aim a lot. You have to win 1v1s and hit your shots. And most of all, look for as many anti nades as humanly possible. It’s an invaluable tool to your team
