1 if yes , for long long you think you keep intrested?
2 if no, how long have you been playing until you ecpect to stop playing
3 you ecpect to coming back?
4 you play solo or with friends?
I don’t even play now. I might’ve played a collective four or five hours in 2023. It’s not interesting.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure I will still be playing in 2025. I don’t really see myself quitting this game any time soon, since I still enjoy playing it quite a lot. I don’t know exactly how long I will keep playing for, but when I stop finding the game fun to play, that’s when I’ll move on to some other game(s).
If I have a computer that can run OW in 2025
Yes, until H*lldivers 2 comes to xbox. Then ow might be in trouble in keeping me engaged in this game…
Luckily Microsoft is dumb af when it comes to their console, so its not likely to happen anytime soon.
I play Ow2 solo 95% of the time. Basically all my videogame friends are eyeball deep in HD2 right now. They’re loving life
don’t see a reason not to play it.
have been playing since beta and plan on keep playing. as long as the game feels good to play (in my case one of the only playable and smooth enjoyable fps games out there, that aren’t another generic war sim with sumo wrestlers as characters (movement acceleration))
could be if tracer was changed to no longer be fun and engaging to play that i quit for good.
I think this year we are starting to see real functional progress, in terms of analysis and experimentation. or at least, much more sensible than the ones I DIDN’T see in October 2022, when the game proclaimed itself “2” without deserving it, at least now it seems to work a little more seriously with the features that make the difference.
but I can’t help but be worried that the franchise could end up like Heroes of the Storm. the disorganization of the pve and the ferocious monetization were too shameful blows for a game that by now should have had several years of experience on what users want, and was disappointed in a shameful way.
I can only say that there won’t be an OW3 to save the franchise in case of another failure, and another stop development of heroes will be the final death. and I’m honest: at this point I would prefer to have a single player story campaign to at least “save” the lore.
dont think heldivers is a good game, watch sinisol stream it 2 hours, then bought it and saw trailer, it was basicaly lauching player from space and same maps, instaled it 70 gb turned 20 gb, no roly pas, insta refund
Probably yes however my actual Game Time used for Overwatch has gone down significantly over the last few years. I’m still playing though and finishing Battle Passes. Have been Playing since launch Day of Overwatch1 and shortly after Orisa released my GF and her Sister started and since then we pretty much always played in a 3 Stack.
i think if they stay treu to roadmap game wil be fine, pve is expensif but barely playable long time, i played 700 hours pve, i know
I didn’t know if I’d even be playing in 2024 but here we are lol I haven’t been playing nearly as much tho. I used to play OW with friends but when OW2 dropped off, literally all my friends stopped wanting to play. I wish I had reliable people to play with. I’d probably play more if I could find a Bronze team that wants to climb with me.
2 - I’ve been playing since OW1.
As a support main this new patch is rough. I really enjoy healing more than anything but it almost feels like their pushing everyone into a dps role and trying to crowd everything else out. I don’t find it enjoyable. 70% of the time I’m just frustrated with my games and that isn’t conducive to time well spent.
So, nope. I don’t see myself playing in 2025. Or even the next BP. lol XD
Kinda losing interest in OW. It even worst than last year. The spark i felt in OW is just disappearing. This year end would likely be my last. After 8 years of playing i guess i can finally say good riddance.
The problem is “replayability”: is there an infinitely replayable lore based game that ALWAYS guarantees the presence of a player?
Well yes… but they are not mass-market live services. In take two, or the version of Portal with the two robots are an example, but they are part of the indie niche in an evening with friends. in a lore to be discovered like that of overwatch it is essentially useless to make the requirement of 4 players essential if you play the story once to discover it and then that’s it.
At this point I prefer them to do like Starcraft 2: deafult’s single player story campaign, at most with the possibility of having companions invited by us who increase the difficulty (like in cuphead).
- Can history be sold? Yes, as long as it’s a real meaty expansion pack and not something that doesn’t immerse you in any real in-depth story arc. it is really impossible to launch them for free as they did in the past for experimental reasons (and still all events are experimental for an ideal pve connection);
- Can a specific single player balancing be done? Yes, if you lower your expectations of making 10,000 combinations of possible heroes whose audio is already impossible to hear (since the bots are always the same and the imbalance of useful heroes is too high, see Toronto mission);
- Do you let people choose how and when to play? Yes, it is useless to pretend that you can reach a level of replayability of the same level design of Hades or other similar games, this approach is not Overwatch’s genre;
And the only positive thing about a story mode is that you know the characters and their world really well, you have more interesting training for learning the characters’ abilities/traits, and you have a proven approach that has always worked. I’m sorry to say it but I’m not interested in experimenting with narrative replayability which will never happen, not even if they put in 100,000 particular achievements.
No. Just uninstalled.
The game as is is unplayable unbalanced and not fun.
I have fond memories of OW. I really enjoyed the universe and the consistency of the story and the heroes. I enjoyed the maps, even if they wern’t always well designed. They all had character.
Now it’s just pay to win/attach to any old stupid concept or notion (greek gods?). 5v5 was a terrible error that didn’t need to happen and the game is being developed by people that either/neither care about the game or don’t play it.
If OW keeps going the eay it goes likely only if i get a 5 stack, ranked is too painful with the OTP’s and people who dont actially want to play together
I used to play flex rq with friends three or four nights a week for hours, back in ow1.
They’ve mostly all quit, and play other games now. I may see one or two on a couple times a month, but then they only play for an hour or two.
Now I just flex solo queue in open queue. Hoping to get those 212v212 game that feel like tug of war OverWatch. They would feel even better if it was 222v222, but it’s what we got.
So long story short, yeah maybe I’ll still be in open q a few games a week.
im mixed if i will stay or go i just finish the battle pass take a long brake wait to see when a youtuber talks about the changes for the next season and ponder if its worth my time to come back for another season
usualy nothing changes if anything it just gets worse and more frustrating and i just feel more fatigued after doing my dalies and weeklies
and im just a solo player i have no friends that play ow2 …not any more
Not really, but I have had this negative mindset before and always return regardless. That being said, Overwatch just keeps taking and never gives. There are just not many heroes that interest me after the developers slaughter them, and the game itself is just garbage because they want Fortnite players to feel welcome. It might genuinely be the final straw. It’s not as if I have never quit a game before.
Reaper is just nigh unplayable and we have to wait until the mid season patch for them to fix the blatant balance problems (most of which are the cause for the discrepancy in the DPS roster to begin with) that they have identified a few days ago because they are EXTREMELY BLATANT. It’s just insane.
I am not sure I will make it to the end of the year at this pace. Actually, once I hit level 50 Reaper and get Dark Hour camo… I am not sure what will be my incentive to keep torturing myself. I am losing patience.
Maybe the FOMO on the free to play currency gets to me because I really want that Egyptian Battle Pass. But what’s the point? Reaper is one of the only heroes I enjoy and I already purchased his Bullet for my Valentine skin. There’s no going back. Even if he got a sick Anubis mythic, the dream, I would probably still wear his BfmV skin because, again, I spent real money on it.
Yes
I play solo almost 100% of the time, there is not other game with a character like genji, so this is my only option.
Plus I actually like this game, you just gotta take breaks, its draining after a bit.
