Do you scope with Ana?

I never zoom in. Is there a point to scoping or is it to just help aim?

Scoping in as Ana is very useful because it converts her bullets into hitscan. So yes, I do all the time.

I like to quick scope with her.

Absolutely.

Scoped is hitscan, unscoped is projectile.

If I feel safe, I scope in so I can hit my shots better, if I feel like a flanker is around I’ll either quick scope or stick to projectile so I can better assess my surroundings.

Yes, I’m scoped 85% of the time.

Scoping in is pretty handy what with the hitscan factor. Even just removing the travel time from her shots means Ana is able to produce more responsive healing that will land more consistently. If anything, I probably scope too much, but I’d rather make sure my allies are getting healed than try to calculate some of those long-distance projectile shots, risking their health in the process.

wait, it does? For real? That is awesome!

I never realized her scope was hitscan. Nice info.

I do scope often, and I stay scoped to heal/deal damage unless I get jumped on or if I’m in the middle of my team

Hitscan shots are much more reliable than projectiles and Ana has strong quick scoping. There’s really no reason not to scope most of the time

I’m just not a fan of scoping. It limits peripheral vision and I don’t grenade and sleep dart as well.

Ana moves slower when scoped so she is easier to kill and has limited vision but her shot is a projectile if she isn’t scoped so it’s best to quickscope with her.

Learning to quickscope is a core part of playing Ana at a high level and is a must.

Short range I’ll hipfire.
Long range I’ll quickscope.

Pretty much how she should be played, I think.

I’ll have to practice scoping. It’s fun to know there’s something concrete to work on / increase skill level.

Scope is what you use if she’s in the back line. It turns into a hitscan, instantly delivering her heals or damage. It also allows her to hit more evasive allies/enemies. The triangle also makes it easier to deliver heals to allies too.

No scope is what you use if she’s near her allies. It turns into a projectile with about 80mps speed, so being 10m away means it’s basically instant and she can just mindlessly spam at her allies while assessing the situation (to keep herself safe).

Not often. Usually when I have teammates who are far off in the distance like Pharah or Widow or teammates who are bouncing and zigzagging around a lot. Looking at you Genji, you spastic mother fuzzer.:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Be aware that when scoped, your shot has a trail, showing the enemy your position.
When unscoped, there is no trail, and you can more easily stay hidden.

Btw. one of Ana’s duties is to counter Pharah (and Mercy if she is up there with Pharah), which would be next to impossible without scoped.
At longer range it will also be quite hard to hit unscoped, both healing and damage.

Quick scope or nothing. Significantly improves your accuracy when you get good at it.
