Do you play Valorant?

And do you recommend it ?

I tried it but I gave up on it relatively quickly. I didn’t understand squad diddly anything of what was going on, and most of the time I just ran around following the others.

I found it a poor clone between Counter-Strike and hero shooters. Not my cup of tea in other words

“friends”…

I haven’t heard that word in forever.

I do not. I dont believe in spread is good for a competitive shooter and the ranked system is mediocre. If you playing for fun its a good time.

i used to only play it but its just too tiring and too much toxic people (just like overwatch) but I actually have something to grind for here

I played two games of Valorant. I didn’t like it, it feels too much like a CS:Go clone for me.

I got the legendary edition last year. I stopped in the middle of Mass Effect 2. Since I played the original, I wasn’t impressed.

I’ve never played it, it doesn’t seem that interesting to me. Just CSGO lite with cartoon characters.

Eeeeh I used to hate on Valorant a lot. I recently played it and my mind has changed a little. It’s OK. It’s not spectacular and the RNG spread is annoying, but it’s not bad.

It’s a great game and far more balanced and competitive than overwatch. It really just comes down to if the tac shooter is for you or not. I personally need high mobility in my shooters so valorant isn’t for me but I still recognize it as a great game for people who enjoy slower paced methodical shooters.

Do you like watching other people play? If you fancy spectator mode (elimination style gameplay), then yes I would recommend it. If you’d rather actually play a game, then no.

Yeah its better than overwatch at the very least.

Good balancing.
Constant updates.
No 10 year queue times.
Thriving playerbase
Thriving twitch viewership and YT
Thriving Comp scene.

Not my favourite game but better than Overwatch if you enjoy it, its also more reasonable to rank up on that game in OW you can blame the team because one person can screw the whole team over.

In VAL if youre insane you can almost win entire games by yourself.

Most of the people on here played Val casually or in an extremely low rank so they cannot give decent opinions on the game slow which fights arent that long you can kill 5 people in 5 bullets.

The games are longer because there are alot of rounds which is good as it means you cant just luck out and win because someone made a mistake or someone got lucky you have all the other rounds to deal with.

i cant get into apex or valorant because it would mean learning all the maps, all the heros, all the matchups and abilities, and then muscle memory learn specific heros.

OW has spread too bastion has spread sombra Cass has spread tracer ashe has spread and all 5 of theirs are RNG there are more with spread but I cant remember.

I mean… the games a Counter Strike clone but with abilities. If that sounds appealing to you then try it, if not then dont.

Eeeeh the difference between these two is that OW you can get away with an inconsequential spread. With how Valorant works, it’s life or death.

Also screw movement-based inaccuracy. Running and gunning while maintaining precision is true skill.

Sure but OWs movement style has 0 skill too since accuracy is very inconsistent and almost RNG due to instant acceleration and deceleration even pros and coaches complain about it if OW had movement accel but you were accurate while moving it would be way better.

Valorants aim is more consistent which essentially values precision more than Overwatch overwatch you can offset pure aim with movement thats why a Plat player can have better aim than some GM players.
In Val the higher the rank you are almost always your aim scales with it.

Anyhow you dont have to stand still while moving heres a clip I found hopefully I can find a better clip with even more movement. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLFadGW6sRs

Basically every kill in this was while moving https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cIaAnGp6bU

https://youtu.be/dgX1AYxkrNE?t=66 Constantly moving getting headshots.

Moving while shooting is a tech in this game similar to super jump in OW its a movement tech it adds skill to movement.
