Do you like the hero’s new look in OW2 ? At this point I do not. I am hoping that once I have the game it will look good or grow on me, but so for I don’t like the new look at all. What do you guys think?
I love it, especially with Mercy.
I’ve ALWAYS had an issue with her looking like she has cheesestrings for hair. Now her hair actually looks like hair
It’s good except for Torbjorn and Bastion they look awful lol
I don’t like Genji’s clothes. He’s thicc now.
What looks?
There are no looks
The ones we’ve gotten are fake, everything is fake overwatch 2 is fake like
Maybe it’s the HD tv effect you know all small pimples and sprinkles show on screen. Now that they updated graphics a bit it’s too easy to see his cake and bulge. So now Genji has pants
I’m hoping that Baptiste gets a good haircut. All of his good skins either hide or change his default style.
Oh, and that the default colours are no longer yellow and blue. I wouldn’t care but it wounds me when I see the default icon when TABing.
Overall I like them a lot.
Not fond of Rein’s though, a bit too busy and noisy for me, not in a dirt, used up old kind way, but like a kid putting RGB in his computer, a tad too much detail.
thankfully we can still use the old variants. I much prefer rein’s default look.
they look amazing. i cant wait to see the rest !
I absolutely love them , they’re so much better!
I quite like them. Some took a little time to grow on me, Mercy’s one had some rather unflattering angles in promotional pictures but it does look nice on the OW2 page. Looking forward to seeing more when they’re ready (Pharah & Sombra specifically).
My only problem coming from the OW2 skins is that new details they put on heroes might mean they lose some of their iconic appearance (which could be problematic if they are specifically using these skins for marketing). Going overboard on detail doesn’t always make videogame characters look better, 343i’s Halo games are a great example of this.
They’ve gone a bit off the rails for me. Not too badly, but OW1 character design is so clear and yet still catchy. Look at Genji and you know exactly what he is. Look at Tracer and most of her back story is in her appearance. The new designs are less so. There’s no waste in the original designs. The new ones don’t have that focus, and I’m not sure the added details are worth losing that.
I’ll wait until the whole game is out, though. If there’s one thing I can’t complain about in OW1, it’s character design.
I like them as alternates, but most are lacking. Lucio’s with the glowsticks I like, Genji’s is nice though I see absolutely no reason why a dude at peace with his cybernetics suddenly needs to wear sports-wear. Rein would not give up his helm normally, and I can see the sea of race-hypocrites calling Mercy with her shorter hair a “Karen” now. Mei’s is utterly boring and Tracer’s with the loss of the signature collar just shows a pure lack of character design sense. Just awful quite frankly.
The good thing is all the old and more iconic skins will be there.
I like all of them and Lucio’s especially because his hair colour changes between green and yellow if he’s speed boosting or healing. In other words I see it as an alternative to the all star skin he got which I don’t have. Main reason I wanted the all star skin was the hair colour change and now I can just own Overwatch 2 and have the same thing.
More interested in the new epics and legendaries. Hopefully the new engine will mean they are a step above the skins we have now (which tbh I already like) and so in a couple of years nobody even uses the skins we use now.
Most of Mercy is great, but her backwards halo is pretty stupid.
The engine is just extended with shaders turned on. It helps, but its not some sea change, in fact the visuals to some look cartoony even more than now. Not sure how well that’s going to hold up personally. I guarantee you the skins you have now will be in use because they are all adapted to OW 2 and many are extremely popular.
So far, just Tracer.
I enjoy all of them so far, can’t wait to see more soon!
