What stereotypes do you want to see exactly?
Or would you rather the characters break the stereotypes.

I myself would like a balkan stereotype. Not enough balkan representation anywhere. I’ve seen an Albanian residing in Switzerland earlier than an Albanian character.
It’s a certain meme that Switzerland has a large Albanian diaspora. Similar to how Berlin is full of Turks.

Slavs in general - we are the largest group in Europe, yet we only got Zarya…which is…meh.

How to tell a country is a black hole of culture check list:

  1. The most common “stereotype” about the people has something to do with alcohol
  2. The country is still clinging to something that happened in WW2
  3. An overseas tourist couldn’t tell the difference between them and the 5 neighboring countries

We should have a Romanian hero whose passive is that every time he kills you, he steals all of the ult charge you had at the time. He can also stall points/payloads remotely by creating potholes in the capture radius, and for his ultimate he rides around in his horse-drawn broken-down Dacia 1300 running over enemies.

I like this trend. More conversations about Balkan characters have been happening, which means that there’s a chance someone will notice it (either devs or streamers).

I await the day they introduce Chernobog into the game.

Balkan Stereotypes are funny and a part of the culture (and I say that as someone from the Balkans). If they make a Balkan character, I would like them to include some funny stereotypes.

That being said, this is Blizzard and they wouldn’t even consider that because they avoid everything that’s not P.C. like the plague.

Hazard has it in voice and attitude, but his visual presentation leaves something to be desired. He needs to ditch the protomolecule growing out of his behind and wield a set of flame-spitting bagpipes instead.

oh man i even forgot that guy was a scottish hero. i guess hes seems invisible to me or bland

i dont play him at all or havnt really. dont think i played one game with him. probably on my list to do in the future

I would have said: “So every country that isn’t the USA in your eyes then”.

But the second point doesn’t fit since the USA are the ones still clinging to WW2. The rest of the world moved on.

But don’t be ashamed. If we only had Tennessee whiskey to drink, we probably would have gone through a prohibition phase too.

how differente overwatch 1 developers were, they made sombra which besides the annoying spanglish she is not a stereotype, she is as far as a stereotype you can get, reaper 50/50 and screw that disgusting venture thing made by overwatch 2 developers, is not a stereotype of mexicans but a stereotype about woke crap

Whats great about stereotypes is that you can learn a little bit about another country’s culture by them! I think thats pretty cool :sunglasses:
