The idea of a role queue is great, but a forced 2-2-2 is what ruins it.

I am indifferent, but I currently don’t work due to illness. If time was more limited for me I’d hate it.

It’s miles better than the tons of dps who would instalock then sometimes switch to support or tank and not know what the hell they were doing

the only problems with 2-2-2 aren’t even 2-2-2
it’s the matchmaker going full clown mode

yea i like it…

my frustration playing overwatch has decreased…

the problem is that mmr and ranked are still having issues in terms of balance… i hope blizzard keeps adjusting and bring players on the rating they should be.

That’s because players who main dps don’t want to wait so they switch to tank or support and get in matches where they main dps is at. There is no happy middle ground with 2-2-2. Many asked for it now deal with your mess.

The answer is overwhelmingly yes by the community. There is just a vocal minority that don’t.

There needed to be change, but going from one extreme to this extreme was not the right solution.

Role limits would have been a better solution to remove “extreme” comps like quad tank, quad+ DPS or triple support, but still allow for strategic switching to counter your opponent. 2/2/2 as the last and only way to ever play Overwatch is not the way to go.

not 100% of the time sometimes i just went with a reaper or mei when we had a alpha reinhardt and 2 godlike supports 8)

What i want to know, and maybe you can implement this in a future poll, or i’ll make one…but i want to know who exactly is in support/against role queue, i want to know when they started playing as it would add context to the discussion.

I’m a first year player and i’ll eventually be a veteran player if i’m not already considered one, (i conider a veteran player as someone who’s Beta/S1) but everyone i know who’s been around since then has been in support, mainly the people against it are the newer players from what i understand.

I think there is advantages and disadvantages with forced 2-2-2 role lock, but overall? No, I’m not a fan.

While RQ does come with its own problems
It’s a huge improvement to the game’s structure and fun

Best what could happen. In 99% of the cases there very just bad in every role.

I’d say forum votes most likely demonstrate the opposite of what the overall community thinks. Most people come to the forums to talk about something they’re unhappy about. Most of the currently active users became active before the last month. In my experience, people who were unhappy with the state of the game a month ago (which is probably why they were on the forums in the first place) usually thought that role queue would be an improvement. That being the case, role queue is much more popular on the forums than with the general player base because the forums are mostly recently-disgruntled players rather than happy ones. I predict that, in a few months, there will be many more active forums users that are against role queue and will have come here to say that.

Forums users ARE the vocal minority.
