As most of us know, a lot of heros in Overwatch are reminiscent or resemble a character or concept from other sources.
Well, guess where Juno is “from”?
Anyone remember the famous game from back then -
Jet Force Gemini
If still in doubt, look at the names of the characters. ^^

This type of astronaut pin-up has been done numerous times over many decades.

There’s a fallout poster that resembles her too. Think its just the stereotypical 70’s “space race” pinup style tbh
It’d be more like the '50’s.
I mean the space race yeah, but the pin up style? Either way
She seems to be modeled after the '50’s sci fi pinups, modified to be more realistic and less revealing (i.e. less Saran wrap, more thermal protection).

Damn, you made me realize how much I’d LOVE a Nuka-Girl skin for Juno. Her gun could even be the thirst zapper water pistol

So I just looked up Jet Force Gemini. Whoa!
Back in the day, I was an avid N64 player and somehow, Ive never heard of this game!
Juno definitely looks like a cross between both of the main characters, even down to the purple hair!
But Id argue her influence came from 50’s Retro Futuristic “Rocket Girl” Comics. Theres even an old comic called “Space Ranger”, like Juno’s code name, that looks very much like her. Of course, the main character in those comics was male but definitely a similar retro-astronaut style.

Juno definitely invokes the old 50’s style scifi astronaut. A very nice design.

Same!
Im obsessed with the TV series. I never played the Fallout games but I definitely enjoyed the TV show. I really hope theres a Fallout skin with Juno in the Future…

I thought this too, but the male character in Jet Force’s name is Juno, the female was Vela, and the dog, Lupus… for anyone that might be confused.
But yeah, I really really enjoyed that game.
Annoyed me because I had two friends who owned it as well, but they refused to finish it because they didn’t want to go back and find all the tribals. I always tried to tell them the tribals are really fun to hunt for and the ending was worth it (imo), but yeah, they straight gave up lol
EDIT: And of course, it had GREAT music, Rare definitely knocked it out of the park with that game. For anyone who is curious look up the music to SS Anubis

She’s from Mars, where boys go to get candy bars.
Which is better than why people go to Jupiter…

Upgraded and updated Barbarella
There’s soooo much that’d work well for a Fallout x Overwatch crossover
Sojourn/Echo- Assaultron
Bastion- Protectron
Mauga/Orisa- Sentry Bot
Doomfist- Supermutant with a power fist
Soldier- gen 1/2 synth (his gun reminds me of an auto institute rifle)
Rein- Brotherhood knight/paladin with a super sledge
Brigitte- Brotherhood squire
Pharah- Liberty Prime (maybe screams less anti-chinese propaganda)
Juno- Nuka-Girl
McCree- NCR Ranger
Ashe/Junkrat- Powder Gangers
Wrecking Ball- Mirelurk
Lucio- Children of Atom (his weapon is like the gamma gun)
