Do you get call outs of your battle tag?

I mean. My name is in Finnish and recently I have got many many many Finns saying something rude to me. And I have no idea what I have done to them. I reply with a joke or something. Couldn’t care less what they say and sometimes it is little bit fun to see what they write and reply.

But lately I have started to think should I change my name to something in English. Of course it is cool to meet fellow Finns, but hey, start with something else than rude comment. But I am not keen to answering in something in the middle of the chat. Do they wanna just provoke?

Sooooo… Have you guys ever gotten this kind of behavior? If I would change it to English would I get comments of it anyway? Depends probably of the name?

Ok let me explain internet:

Bunch of socially maladjusted nerds, who think they have personality, and don’t understand jokes with friends are different than jokes with strangers. (not all but this is the bulk of the vocal people)

Most of them wouldn’t know they were being offensive because they don’t actually have experience interacting with real people.

This is unfortunately the sad truth of it, so you will need to ignore the fat nerd blurting out something he thinks is funny at someone else’s expense, to try to get attention.

If I had to count how many “Baja blast” jokes I get every day…I’d need a LOT of hands…

Yep, I get more attention from my name / btag than I ever thought I would. Mostly good, others just like :woman_shrugging:

I’ve been asked if I’ve seen The 100. Haven’t, tell them it’s a book reference

Some people ask how its pronounced or what they should call me. I normally ask them to call me “Derk” or just shout the character I’m playing as.

People mostly just joke around with me and call my battletag cool. Sometimes they even ask if I really have Buddafingaz when I’m killing them all as widow.

Suprisingly, I get very few comments about my absurd name

Yep, they ask where are the other signs.

Good stuff mostly.

Only when there are others with the Dragon name tag. Then it’s just a fun conversation.

But hey, your name is pretty neat, I wouldn’t change it.

I don’t get blamed becasue of my nickname, but quite a lot of people thinks I’m from either France, Germany or Poland (I’m polish, btw) and they start using their language to talk with me (or blame if they’re Poles eggs d). Most of the time I just stick to english so they stop

It’s funny to do it to people from my country so they stay quiet, because their english is bad
