If you pick your favorite hero first and everybody picks something that isnt supportive of your hero/doesnt make sense considering the comp, do you hold out in case someone swaps out or do you make the change yourself?

I stick it out till the end. Itās just another challenge to be overcome. Bring it on I say.

Well, I play primarily main tanks, and I love playing all three of them. So Iāll just switch whichever tank Iām playing as needed.
If Iām asked to play support thoughā¦well, Iāll do it, but I will warn my team that Iām really bad at healers though. Cuz I am legitimately really bad.

I have started playing some more DPS heroes to expand on my arsenal of heroes to pick from though.
I just pick whatever hero I think gives my team the best chance of winning. ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
Iām half and half. Mostly I go to whatever the team needs, but if I go too many games like that, i dont care if Iām being amazing at whatever Iām doing, one game Iām gonna stick to Sombra (and maybe swap to Reaper if we start losing) and get some hacks going

Iāll flex. Trouble is, thereās no helping some of the utter garbage your team picks where thereās just no chance of getting any synergy going.

I always end up switching lol.
While I donāt believe 2/2/2 is always the go to (Like a lot of meta slaves), I do think there should always be at least one healer on the team. So I usually let everyone else pick first and Iāll fill accordingly. The only time I pick what I want and donāt switch is when Iām with a 6 stack who enjoy certain roles.
I flex, because Iām not selfish. Though, with that said, if I have to solo heal for 6 games straight while everyone else does nothing productive and doesnāt work togetherā¦Iāll eventually hit a point where I wonāt budge out of spite and frustration.

Depends on how the match goes Iāll swap if Iām not doing well
If I pick first, I get dibs. Like, if you see Lucio and pick Pharah, imma assume you got it.
If Iām backfill, I fill. Most of the time, this means I get to pick Lucio anyway because Overwatch is allergic to healers. If thereās two healers, I go Orisa. If tank is filled, Soldier.
I always pick a tank at the start of the match.
But, if thereās someone that cannot possibly pick a healer, because of reasons, I just give them the tank slot.
DPS players are decent on Hog and D.Va so it usually goes well.

I play whatever in QP.
I pick Widowmaker a lot in QP cause I want to learn how to play her, but I often swap if I see a Hanzo aswell or it just wonāt work.
I play tanks and If i see that no one is playing healer I offer to play healer if somebody plays tank I rarely ever play DPS
Depends. I usually pick a healer first, but have been known to swap when others also pick healers.
It does happen! If I pick Zenyatta, someone else goes Ana, then a third person picks Mercy, I would usually swap off to something else.
If i am in comp i pick what the team needs if i am in quick play and everyone pics dps and of course ican play both tank and support i leave que up for new match
Sometimes Iām in the mood of playing a certain hero and then Iāll pick them first. I will switch if I think I can improve the comp by doing so.
Like, say I want to play Brigitte. I lock Brigitte as soon as I get in the character selection screen. But then for some reason nobody picks a tank. Iāll switch to tank before the match starts, then.
Sure I could ask if someone wants to switch instead, but I find that people are more agreeable if you are willing to switch before asking them to do so, and I donāt want to cause conflict.
I always pick tank at start cause generally (in lower ranks) people tend to do really shi**y picks. I have played in games where people would insta picks 5 dps and all i can say is āUUUGGGGGHHHHā and then i nicely ask, one tank or no tank and that i can fill whats missing if we go for a somewhat decent setup.
