Do you constantly melee when you’re trying to aim?

I think it’s the R3 button on PS4. I’ll be trying to line up a shot when I’ll randomly launch into the melee attack animation. It’s managed to sabotage a number of my shots. It’s like the sensitivity is too light for its own good. Swapping over to Xbox doesn’t seem to help either.

There should be enough travel in the stick to force you to commit to the press. I’ve never had this issue.

I’ve been doing it nonstop since I started playing on PS5. Been on Xbox since early OW1 days but got a PS5 recently so figured make a new account to more easily hide from Xbox buddies lol

Call of Duty gaming taught me to swap Melee and Crouch. R3 on PS5 is my crouch button now.

i do it when im playing wrecking ball but every other character no unless it will kill them

I have noted some people tend to “sweat” when they play intense games. I used get sweaty palms all the time when I used to play Nintendo games (although this might be the environment), As others have stated, if you’re sub-consciously pushing down on it, you can always re-map it to another button and just leave R3 as a “dead” button that doesn’t do anything.

I get that so often, it could have been me

Naw, unless you’ve taken a sabbatical from your gm lobbies, not a chance.

I’ve been so tempted recently to switch to PS just cause of HD:2 alone. I can’t accidentally kill teammates in this game, I feel like I’m missing out

This is posture related, I used to do it all the time till learned to sit better.

I’ve become very used to it. In fact I even have the jump on L3.

This also happens on certain mice where the melee assigned button is too easily pressed. My G502X Plus does this occasionally because I have big thumb callouses

Looks like I need to do that. :+1:
