all of them instantly, devs want to recreate the chaotic feeling in beta when they gave us mei,geni and dva at the same time plus couple others

If there will be 6 heroes at launch. It could be more or it could be only Soujurn. We dont know how much covid affected development.
The problem they have now is this: they held off on new characters for what will amount to 2.5 years by the time of release. At 3 characters per year (which is actually very slow), we should have had at least 7. Literally, they are not accelerating any development, merely retarding it. Its just annoying how they pitch it as a “plus” - its just artificial demand.

idk where any of you are taking these numbers from.
We have no confirmation on the amount of heroes.
Its strange because OW1 launched with 21 heroes. I suppose that since this will be the PvE focus there will be a TON of units being created, but how crazy would it be to have 20+ heroes launch
They already stated it will drop with multiple heroes at launch. They should have released like 7 heroes by now but they’ve been holding them for OW2. And now they have another entire year.
Plus they already showed off Sojourn + 4 different heroes to GameInformer last year after Blizzcon, which is 5 new heroes at launch minimum.
We know of 5 minimum as of last year and that’s it
Although considering it’s been an entire year since then + OW2 won’t release for at least another year, they could very well release 8+ new heroes
Yes we do. I can’t quote exactly which one but there was an interview where one of them said the launch would have 40 plus heroes meaning at least 8.

There’s a rumored like 8 new heroes for OW2.
And considering it seems we already have one semi-confirmed DPS in Sojourn, I hope to lord that majority of the rest are Support and Tank heroes.

Petty as it may sound, hope they can assure us that no pre-OW2 heroes will get hit with the nerf sledgehammer if one of the new heroes happen to make them a little too strong
I’m not saying we won’t get 8, but we shouldn’t act as if it is confirmed, especially considering the 5 heroes from last year could already have been planned along very far and predicted the amount we get in total. not saying that

I think this is just a rumour that you might have taken as a fact by accident.

OW2 will most likely launch with about 4 heroes. If the number would have been like 6-8, they most likely would have teased more than a one hero at blizzcon. (which we already knew Soujourn…)
Heroes take super long time to make and devs have most of their resources in pve missions, map design etc etc
