The new map was only in the season trailer as a background and it’s not even in the roadmap. I think they know that flashpoint is going near extinction with map voting

I’m the opposite. I actually like push to some extent, but I don’t know if I’ve had a match on Flashpoint that I didn’t completely despise.

Clash is pretty much dead. But Flashpoint is still popular, as is Push.

Yeah, as long as I won’t get punished for leaving, I dip from Flashpoint. I hate that game mode, and it’s way too long. Put it in as an arcade section for people who like it.

Never had an issue with Flashpoint, Clash is the mode I always had problems with.

Tbf Clash was also removed from competitive after public outcry. I think it works better as a 2-pointer in Stadium, but their original mode design was not fun. New Junk City and Suravasa are getting reworked in season 18 and the new flashpoint map is meant to represent how those maps will change. We’ll have to wait and see if they got it right or not.

Same here, I actually don’t mind flashpoint too much, but I’d only vote for it if the other options are Push and Control
About 90% of OW players hated flash-point the second it came to OW. The devs ignored players request to remove it.
I’ll probably vote against that walking simulator mode too, but it might have somewhat of a chance still, considering that the new map is coming for it. Its Clash that I think will become the Sombra of map voting lmao.
Flashpoints biggest weakness is that it has had only 2 maps for almost 2 years. Personally, I’m keen to see how it plays on a different map. The existing maps are also being reworked in the midseason patch, so that should be good too.
2 maps just really isn’t enough for any mode. 2 years without a new map is inexcusable.

Yea there is no way that number is at all accurate. And of course they are not going to just remove the mode right away because some people dislike it. 2cp took years of being hated and not playing very well to finally go. Clash was rather quick but that’s due to how broken the scoring was with a catch up mechanic, essentially making it not competitive. Flashpoint doesn’t have that problem, some people just don’t like it. And now if many in the lobby are the same, they will be playing it less often.
Hopefully they stop adding new modes, and add more maps for existing modes. Agreed nearly 2 years for a 3rd map is crazy. Push also only has 4 maps after 2.5 almost 3 years. With only 1 post launch.

Both is good.
I don’t think it’s realistic to be having both. Unless we keep getting 2 map game modes. And after how bad clash is, I’d rather just have maps for modes that work. Well, not realistic to be getting maps at a decent rate plus new modes that have maps. We certainly strayed from a new map every other season.
