its kind of annoying that im forced to queue all roles aka tank for weekly challenge and I just have to play tank over and over again… just hold me in queue every now and then so I can play something other than tank

It’s even worse when the enemy tank can’t die at all due to being spoiled with actual healers while you’re stuck in non stop 1 vs 5 fights as your team wanders around the map in a million different directions not caring about any objectives. Your own team would rather babysit Widows or Hanzos that can’t get a single kill and constantly fail to kill the enemy Widow or Hanzo with 20-0 scores instead of keeping you alive.

yeah, exactly my experience. I picked enemy bastion off and pushed out only to find I was 1v3ing a rein and both supports while my team lost a 4v1 against pharah. Like I cant make my teammates not suck, id rather not have to suffer those terrible losses game after game after game.

“All roles” is misnomer, as it is designed to be the “Filler” queue for whatever is needed most at the moment. As such, it’s functioning as it’s supposed to, there’s nothing to fix.

alright then they should redesign it. It’s always just going to be tank like 99/100 times. Either that or drop the challenge or change it say “queue as tank”

I don’t see either one of those changing, as it is a significant part of their multipronged approach to reducing queue times across the board.
- Don’t get bothered by weekly “challenges”
- Flex q means you go the role that MM wants!

The only thing that can be done about it is bring 6v6 back cause nobody likes solo tank.

That wouldn’t change the flex queue issue, not enough players were playing tank, that’s one of the reasons they reduced it

Not to mention regularly buffing everything that makes tanking miserable in this game, while never dealing with the pre existing things that made it awful to start.

Come join us on console, queuing flex here means you always get support. Tank: 5+ mins DPS: 6+ mins support: less than a minute.

I get support 99% of the time. If I go play just tank, I get mostly on defense in game and crap Push mode.

Flex Queue should alhonesty go in a order type system. What is the lowest than goes from there. Support>DPS>Tank or Tank>Support>DPS.
just go ball.
play health packs and dive the snipers.
no need for having your own dps and no need for having support.
you cannot win 1v5 but pray they split up.

When I flex queue, I usually get support. In fact last night I played 4 games to get my dailies done and got support every game. But earlier this week I got DPS most of the time another day that I was doing the dailies.

I remember my last games before OW2 came out and I rly wanted to enjoy having a second tank to back me up.
It was on Busan meka base to be precise.
It was more fun.

I been a tank main since 2017… and you know what? I was optimistic about solo tank. I thought if they could make it work it would be superior, but it’s pretty clear now that it does not work and it will never work. The game will always be significantly worse till they bring back 6v6. In fact I’ve uninstalled and I have no interest in the game with this 5v5 format. It’s just not fun.
