As soon as you actually start playing the game and stop being okay with your low rank and beg for mercy from skilled players. This game is designed for that, you either get benefits of it or stay victim. Play hard, get flow, rank up.
Being better doesn’t excuse ruining the game for other people.

I feel like casual tend to buy more skins and goodies than better players because they are more of them, because they tend to like “chill no kill” stuff and because they tend to go outside, therefore are more likely to have a stable income.
On top of that, I don’t think they would invest money into an account that can get banned for deranking or being toxic, because they’re often toxic on top of that.

I didn’t say only Diamonds and above buy skins or Battle passes. I said faster games equal more people buying BPs and skins. Casual or not, no one wants only to play 2-3 comp or 4-5 QP games in an hour. Casual people play competitively, as well.
Also:
You know how many remote workers are at home making 70k+. I know people who are competitive and only play like 5 games a week, got 6 fig jobs, social lives, and got battle passes. Not many people are trying to be pros, that doesn’t mean the people who queue into ranked aren’t trying to win or expect a fair match instead of stomps either way. Elmo Musk playing games and running companies. Most whales are probably super competitive since many wealthy people have chips on their shoulders.
You sure are pulling a lot of information that wasn’t said in my post. Seems like you have some feelings about Comp. I rarely run into toxic players. Maybe 1 game out of ten.
yes quick play queues should be fast but ranked queues should be however long they need to be

Blizzard did solve the Smurf problem. They removed skill-based matchmaking in all game modes, including Competitive so now it’s problematically working as intended to have brand new bronze players with master skilled players. Blizzard only wants to show new players the skins they can buy. The game isn’t balanced between fun and monetization. OW2 is strictly about monetization and the fun part is on the proverbial back-burner.
Id put my money on the mmr once again.
People incorrectly placed or the rank gap being too high.
Or if its unranked accounts that appear smurfing, players who are higher rank in one class to carry that game sense into a different class.
You can climb, to an extent, on game sense alone with low mechanical skill so it only makes sense.
Ive climbed to plat in s2 on support but placed silver in tank doing only placements.
I duo’d with a bronze friend and needless to say i was cleaning up the enemies in bronze using what i know in higher ranks.
Is that fair? Probably not but thats how the mmr system works. It doesnt recognize my ability in other classes to average me out.
So im forced to clean up a few games till ive been correctly placed.
Preach it lol. Basically get good, and bigpepega is not wrong. If you cant beat 1 or 2 smurfs now, what makes you think you deserve to climb the ranks and be with 10 of them. Then the smurfs there are all t500 not diamond in silver

We have the choice between QP matchmaking and Comp matchmaking.
I complain because playing against smurf is torture. It does make me want to quit the game. It does make other people extremely toxic.

What on earth are you even talking about? A Masters Smurf in a Bronze lobby, and you are telling the Bronze to “get good”? Are you dumb?
In no way is a Bronze player even close to that Skill. That is 6 years of play time or FPS gaming.
A Bronze player does not have to “get good” in the way you egotistical jerks say it to be a silver player. People complaining about smurfs are not trying to be Masters or GM. They are trying to have fair matches and climb at a slow learning pace.
All I hear is that Stereotype Surfer dumb guy voice when you people say these things.

I used to think smurfing is a big issue but I’m convinced it’s not anymore. Match making is SO BAD that you have people 1000-1500 SR higher people in your games. Naturally they wreck you. Fix Match maker - MMR garbage. I bet smurfing is super rare besides that.

I gaurantee you dont have actual GM smurfs in your game. Im not even good and can climb the ranks. So yes it really is a get good thing.
Every single coaching session I do with someone complaining the same thing its literally just a skill diff. That “GM” player in bronze is typically another bronze just popping off
Not one person is disagreeing the matchmaker is borked, but smurfing is not the issue that you think is happening. It also doesnt prevent people from climbing
You’re delusional. I literally Had one in my game yesterday. New account and rank 1 endorsement. Said he was Dafran which I knew he was lying obviously. He also said he was Bored and wanted to have fun in bronze. Had 50+ kills by mid second round. I have the code but no sense giving it to you here I made a post about it.
Pretty simple for people to get bronze accounts. Just google it. People sell them. There are entire websites that sell them.
No one is complaining about it preventing us climbing… God, you people will come up with things we aren’t even talking about. It doesn’t.
It is causing unfair/unfun matches and ruining our experience for their profit or “fun”.
There are tons of B 2 GM videos and people that don’t YT do it too. So don’t give me this they are just bronzes popping off bull crap. You are just as bad as Blizzard ignoring the issue and making excuses. So just stop talking.

Bronze to gm is a parlor trick. All it takes is understanding the game. Unfortunately low elo players wana blame everyone and everything but themselves
