It feels bad when your team is 4 tank mains and 2 DPS mains and the enemy team is 4 support mains and 2 DPS mains. I realize that the community is mostly DPS players, but in situations like this we could have had 2/2/2 vs 2/2/2 and everyone in their main role.
Putting this in as a soft matchmaker just to avoid multiple mains of the same hero or too many of the same type of main on the same team without delaying queues (maybe just “settle” and put people into the game they would have been in without this at the 2-3 min mark?) would be nice.

Dps players will get stuck with dps players anyway.

So like if you queue as tank, are you forced to play tank the whole match?
No you just select a handful of heros, 3-5, that you “prefer” to play and it just kind of soft balances teams around that or at least avoids putting people together who will fight over the same roles as much.
Obviously there will still be too much dps but if 12 players happen to be put in a game and 4 are dps, 4 are supp, 4 are tank, don’t put all 4 of any of them on the same team.
