This whole 123 is just a small test to see what kind of impact it would have on DPS times. That is all they said they were really going to monitor. A lot of people are crying bloody murder for an experiment that will not affect the game much

Apparently it’s only going to be a thing between a couple days and a week. Then it’s gone. So play up!
It’s definitely not that. If you want to test how it would impact queue times you don’t include changes to 7 of the 8 tanks alongside it which will obviously make people play those tanks to try them out.
When Sigma was released, the queue times for tank exceeded those of DPS for a while, but I don’t think I need to spell out that concluding that would last would have been a mistake.
It’s a test if players enjoy solo tanking or playing in a team with just one tank, that’s about all.
Other than that I agree with you, very unlikely that this goes live.

Feedback is kinda the entire point of them putting the experiment up in the first place you know. And judging from Jeff’s post, if feedback were positive then it well could make it live.

To be fair we have no idea what impact this is going to have. It’s certainly not simply a zany, wild fun thing for fits 'n giggles but testing for what they could change moving forward/ Might as well put the time in, test things, and leave feedback now.

The problem is that it isn’t really going to be a good judge of the DPS times, because the DPS queues before were spread between QP and Comp, and now there’s a third mode to queue DPS in, lol. I really don’t see how it’s an accurate depiction of how it would go

Well Hero pools went live, Role Q went live. Map Pools went live.
Honestly I have some serious doubts it won’t go live. If for no other reason than the normal excuse “you can’t tell on test servers how it would act in real live comp”. So yes I think it’s going live. Now how long it might last is up to question, and if it’s going to replace normal comp entirely or just be an option is another.
Ive been playing tanks too, I’m also having a blast. Tanks actually feel like tanks!

I don’t see them even touching 1-2-3 for Live the way it is. Take a year at least of testing.
I hope this goes live. It’s so much more fun than current comp

Well jeff said it was that, they overhauled the off tanks to be able to function as main tanks. but he mentioned the primary focus was queue times. However I do enjoy some of those tank changes. Hogs healing aura is fun
The reason they’re considering 3-2-1 is because it might decrease queue times for DPS, but the reason 3-2-1 is on EC is to see if the community likes playing it. This many changes will give them very little data on individual changes.
I don’t even get why it’s being tested though…
