I always have leavers on that map during hero select
There are maps/modes that some players seriously dislike. However instead of implementing a map/mode vote feature the Devs just dole out suspensions and stuff like that instead of addressing the issue.
It’s not my favorite control map, but it’s far from a bad map. Busan and the Antarctic Peninsula are much worse, but I don’t think any of them are bad enough to leave
There’s no map that’s universally liked by everyone tbh.
King’s row?
20 chars.
most people in this community dont like anything in case u didnt notice yet xD
Yeah, oasis is a pile of poop.
Worst maps after Ilios Ruins.
Personally, I am sick of oasis. I swear every time I load up the game, it’s always the first map that I end up getting. Then I proceeded to get oasis like twice an hour afterwards.
I like university and gardens but I hate city centre. But overall I wouldn’t have it high on my list of hated maps. It’s way better than ilios Well and Lighthouse, Nepal pit, all of Antarctica, and Lijiang Gardens.
I hate Antarctica with a passion.
I hate it so its not universal. Heavily overrated.
Though if we take out the few exceptions like me then i think Kings Row is the least complained about map in the game.
Though i’ve literally never seen anyone complaining about Eichenwalde.
I personally hate that map.
I hate King’s Row. It’s horrible for Tracer.
i used to think king of the hill was a meh mode but who knew it only needed the maps to be larger like antarctica to be good
All the fake flank routes there. And if you lose the point then you have to walk from the other side of the map and you can’t cut corners because the map is just that linear. You’ve lost the point then you’ve lost the checkpoint as well which is like the 70% of the map.
Totally agree that Busan and Antarctic are much worse, but lately I’ve been ditching control maps at setup too.
The team that loses first round often gives up in the second round, and some players clearly start throwing. Flashpoint has this same issue, as does Push after first team fight. That’s why I ditch all of these modes at setup.
I’m not a fan of it but I can stomach it.
Antarctica on the other hand, I’d rather drink bleach than play on.
I think these two maps are worse because they are “the same strategy” so if you get run over you can’t change much and end up going into an “already decided” fight, in other maps, in the next round you can change strategy and which can change the course of the match, because the map is a different map
Iliios has a well that is a variant and Ruins can be favorable for snipers
Ligiang, Jardim is open enough to play dive, and Control Center you can play rush
Most maps are - Open places, closed places, open but with closed zones
Illios is like this, Oasis, Ligiang, Samoa…
now these two places seem to me to always be in closed and linear places, I’m not saying that the maps are like that, but that the fights in these places are like that, and even though you can play with any comp, on these maps I feel that the impact of these maps in the fight are indifferent, while on other maps, they seem to be part of the fight.
I like oasis cuz Bap can run out in the road, drop immortality field, and then survive a direct hit from a car for huge mitigation numbers.
