Its hilarious. Every game I have where the enemy has a Kiriko and I say she’s op, their response is always “you’re playing Doom.” Like am I missing something?

He is very annoying in good hands like good Ball players but I wouldnt call him OP.

I also wouldn’t call him OP. Maybe she means you should switch to another Tank that can handle her or her team?
There’s a lot of things that she could have meant.
Nah, Doom feels pretty decent atm.
But why are you hassling the enemy kiriko? Don’t be “that guy”, no one likes “that guy”.

The capability to not be cringe in the chat and to figure out that Kiriko is good against DF so it’s only natural they play it?
Doom is not OP, he’s not complete trash either but definitely needs a few buffs. Doom is in that same boat as ball where too many buffs will easily break him but a small calculated one could change him from meh to great.
I think doom is pretty good, but not op. He is awful to play against with aoe stuns and boops. Maps with edges are annoying as his boop distance is insane.
Kiriko is always an acceptable target

No Doom isn’t OP. He’s very good in the right hands, but he’s not OP. That said, Kiriko isn’t OP either.
Not OP but severely underrated. People always say that he is useless and deals no damage and yet I quite often saw him dominating the lobby and scoring highest dmg in entire lobby. It’s like with Ball - if you are good on Doom, you are really scary, but if you suck, you suck so much more on him than on easier tanks.
I personally think that he is very strong in right hands. His movement is nuts, his megapunch is dangerous af and primary fire can obliterate you at close range (which he can force on you if he wants thanks to his superior mobility). At least that’s true vs characters without strong mobility. You probably laugh at Doom if you are Tracer player.
You said you would wait till this season before believing the top 500 picks.
This just in doom is still extremely picked if not more picked this season in top 500 of NA. I thought you said he was only on the boards last season because he was broken for that 1-2 weeks? Your opinion is obviously wrong so please tell us again that because you are gm 5-3 your opinion is better than the majority of top 500. Maybe you just need to get good enough to be at the top tier of play.

Ya he isn’t OP. Right now I would say no tank is OP at the moment. Doom is probably still in the top 3-4 of tanks. Ball is #1 picked of course but I am not sure how much of that is him being OP or more the buffs giving him the perception of being stronger so everyone is playing him.
I do not want a great doomfist unless they add more CC. Its why he got nerfed so hard in the transition to OW2

Considering he was the worst in season 1, and has been nerfed into an even worse state than that. Yes… he is.
Fine I’ll change my argument then. He’s F-ing boring. He’s boring. His skill expression is gone. He has one viable playstyle and it’s the most boring playstyle he has. Just punch over and over again. Every doom player HAS SAID THE SAME THING. HE’S A PUNCHBOT. IT’S BORING. Watch literally any high level doom gameplay, ZBRA, GQO, Dantehh whoever tf IDC, their gameplay in GM3+ consists of literally just punching over and over again, and only diving when they have dive heroes that do the work for them, since he can’t solo dive for the life of him.
I didn’t pick up doom 6 years ago, to be spamming punch over and over again. It’s not what he was, and it’s not what he SHOULD be.

It’s the same thing for mercy players, she’s arguably more meta than before but guess what, she’s more boring now and they are all rightfully outraged. It’s the same thing.
Doom is MAYBE decent, but it’s at the cost of having to play in the most boring way possible. It’s not fun. If you don’t just punchbot then yes, he is god awful because punchbotting is all he has.
