Do OWL Tokens convert soon?

I know they removed the OWL part of the store, but you can still spend the OWL tokens in the unowned part of the hero cosmetics filtering. Can we please understand when the OWL tokens convert and what they convert too. Was anything said about this?

Sorry, I thought you wrote ‘can you still spend them’, which I happend to look into yesterday.

I don’t think there is an official date on when they will convert them. There is also no announced conversion rate.

I think 100 OWL tokens used to cost $5 right?
If that’s the case, I would expect a 1:5 ratio. 5k coins for 1k tokens.

But this sounds too good to be true. Which means the best case scenario is a 1:1 ratio, or maybe even no conversion and they give you few free skins

I remember some vague references to what would happen to them once you couldn’t spend them anymore, but there was no particular conversion destination mentioned IIRC.

I only remember set date, until you got to spend them, that´s all.

yes they did, when they announced the store would be discontinued by DEC 2025. Which is another reason why I am asking this, because it’s too early based on their original announcement for the OWL shop to go away. But it’s now assumed it’s actually a UI bug on why the OWL shop menu is missing. They probably just need to add the button back for it.

I think… as usual the OW Team has no clue or power over what they wanna do with OWL stuff like tokens, because anything OWL is actually muddled in a bunch of upper management sore butt hurting from their failed eSport League decisions and ALSO partially due to the sexual harassment lawsuits that caused a lot of big sponsors to drop OWL sponsorship. OWL might still be around if that didn’t happen, and I believe there are lawsuits going on about this as we speak.

I remember asking about conversion and never getting an answer. I don´t remember them to announce it. But tbh, I am not really sure.

Also, following the OWL Team Inventory Sale, the Overwatch League Shop will remain open until at least December 2025, with limited inventory purchasable using remaining OWL Token balances. Upon any closure of the Overwatch League Shop, Overwatch League Tokens will be converted to an in-game Overwatch currency
