Do not reward Blizzard by purchasing Overwatch 2

Don’t buy Overwatch 2, why pay developers money on three years of failed promises, only to reward them on something else they want you to buy.

Another game where they can make baseless claims of alternative accounts that have 50 millon players and market it off like that .

What promise did they fail on?

I’ve gotten 4 years of serious fun out of this game. I intend to preorder OW2 the moment its available.

I’m buying it. I have well over 1k+ hours clocked into this game. Was definitely worth the 40 bucks I paid for it despite all its flaws. This isn’t even inclueding all the hours spent watching and enjoying OWL.

Don’t tell me what I should and shouldn’t buy :slightly_smiling_face:

I’ll buy OW2 because my 5 y.o. likes the franchise and my tryhard esports days are behind me. My AAA standard for years has been $1/hour of play. A $60 title means 60 hrs of gameplay to break even on value. OW2 looks like a 30hour DLC, but replayable via char progression, unlocks, achievements, endgame grind. All in all, OW cost me $100 with all the league tokens, skins, boxes, and I’ve gotten 2k hours out of it.

And to be fair, the “team” has good apples and bad ones. The engine is still incredibly modern and optimized, the server/net tech is still very good, the artwork/voice is polished, and the balance/gameplay is still acceptable.

The biggest joke is still the comp experience. Insane queue times, low match integrity, obfuscated stacks, hidden ranking/matching algs, handcuffed roles, maps, and pools…all-in marketing as “esport” - and no promise of improvement, accountability, or transparency? Those people, the ones responsible for comp isuses, don’t deserve another cent.

We all know even you will buy it.

Just like all the other ppl who just hate on overwatch will buy it.

And you will all act as though you always intended on buying it.

Gl telling people this in a forum mostly composed of die hard OW fans

That’s very ungrateful… You can spend thousands of hours in this game, just for 20$ (yes I know it was 40$ on release)

This game cost me $20 plus sales tax. It’s given me some 1k+ hours of fun.

I don’t see how I’ve been cheated in any way here. When I see something I think could efficiently be improved upon, I point it out, but that’s far from feeling cheated.

Hmmm a PVE and PVP overwatch game that has different abilities for each character. You can’t find a game like that unless its paladins. And even then its still not like overwatch

Im not planning to spend money on it for now, nothing worth cash was shown to me.
If it would magicialy change game in a lot of ways maybe, or if story would actualy be meaningfull, so basicialy i going to wait for yt videos with the story to see if it is worth it, yea no suprises in story for me that way, but at least i would not buy game i know nothing about to later complain about it not being what i want it to be.

OW2 will have PvE, so a lot of people are buying it just for that.

As with any game I wait until it’s released and see what reviewers say about it. I’ve lost confident in Blizzard’s ability to produce actually good games, given that they’re so distanced from the community as they are and only seem to produce games for the sake of money and not for the sake of the art.

500 hrs of gameplay for $30! Overwatch is currently the cheapest game in price per hrs played.

This thread gives me just another reason to buy it.

Casuals like the people above are obviously going to buy it, people who are frustrated with the comp system and take the game fairly seriously, then probably not. I don’t see them buying OW2 for it’s lack of transparency when it comes to PVP.

Whether or not i buy it is my decision.

Don’t tell me what to do; I’m buying OW2 the second it comes out.

I can’t recall these mythological “failed promises” you’re referring to either

I definitely wouldn’t buy it day 1 when I know I can get for so much cheaper later down the road.

Just wait to see what other players say about it after their day 1 purchases if you do or don’t want to invest in P v E lore expansion pack.

But relax and let people spend dollars how they want. I’m not going to drop $400 on a Dva statue, it’s cool if somebody else wants to. Worry about your money not others wallets.
