In overwatch you have your primary and sometimes a secondary shot caller.
Now it’s okay to be a secondary sometimes I won’t hear people talk till like the very end of the game just to make 1 call out because they see I got it covered.
The last thing I need as im shot calling as primary is you talking 4 minutes into the round just to say “Dps diff” or “tank diff” or whatever does not help me okay you are not helping me plan around the damage boosted sojourn and the big freaking juicy rein shield protecting her.
If you have a primary shot caller on your team please let them focus, I don’t care about roasting you I don’t care about that 1 bad play that happened seven hrs ago please just let me do my job I’m the one focusing on how were gonna survive the next nano annhilation.
If you have anything to contribute make it something actually positive and respectfully toss out some ideas.
Some people just don’t want to talk thats perfectly fine that dosen’t mean there dumb or anything. Heck your probably the kinda person who legit only joins coms or typs to say “Tank diff” or “dps diff” do you think those are actual good big brain coms?
And if your crying because someone is respectfully giving you “orders” and trying to help there team win will alsi trying to prevent toxicity and focus on the game and help there team with. You should probably see a psychologist about your social issues…
If your callouts are good, I’ll listen and follow along. If you’re giving callouts that sound like you’re throwing, I’ll ignore you. If no one is responding all round to your shot calling, you do need to ask yourself if your callouts are actually adding value.
That’s a different subject entirely that’s different from just joining vc and just adding in tank diff or dps diff legit what does that fix besides distractions
I worderes this very carefully because I know people only read how and what they wanna read but like I didn’t mention people not listening to me I specifically mentioned people adding in nothing as im shot calling.
I don’t join comms at all. Exactly for all the reasons you stated in the OP.
Unless I’m being paid by the person to play the game and follow orders. I won’t be doing any of it. My free time is my free time. I’ll play the game within blizzards rules. Not the rules dictated by other players.
It is infact possible to win a match without trying to throw your weight around making demands of the team.
I am not toxic, I do not demand my teammates swap their picks, regardless of how effective their heroes are. I expect the same respect in return.

I have a large group of friends but we don’t always game at the same time so sometimes I play solo.
Lol I’m usually on support but my god is it annoying when someone says this crap mid game.
Like I understand were being rolled right now, but I am trying to help my dps/tank focus more and form a strategy the last thing I need is you peeving them off and tilting them
I’m trying to think how were gonna survive the window visor and the last thing I need is our tank in the spawn room emoting because you decided “you know what would be great if I angered our tank to the point he goes ball and rolls off the map all game”
If you have a 5 stack you play with a lot, having a designated shot caller can improve performance. The main thing here is that person has a good grasp what is and isn’t possible for your team.
In solo queue it’s different and if you are calling all the shots you are likely a detriment to your team. The shots you should be calling are the things you are responsible for… I have ult I’ll try and us it on x or I’m gonna push top left. Anything outside of this you are making calls on presumption about other peoples skill set and they will be worse than relying on there own judgement.
A good shot caller would never have a concept of primary or secondary shotcaller outside of stack. A good shot caller gives space and adapts to other shot callers so they can work together.
I say this because you post seems to be more about you being entitled and backseating people under the guise of shotcalling. Also, if people are cluttering coms, mute them or leave and focus on the game.
I legitmeatly didn’t add anything about back seating or my specific shot calling because I know how people act you might think your acting nice but I specifically revoked that just because of people like you.
This entire post just makes you look like a pompous incel, everyone wants to be the shot caller. Honestly I say the tank is the shot caller considering how important they are.

Telling people there is a primary and secondary shotcaller is telling people how to play the game and how shot calling works. It doesn’t you’re backseating.
Oh I should of went into detail on that a secondary shot caller isn’t even a designated role or anything it’s just people who maybe don’t wanna talk that game, maybe there chilling. In some games you have the people who go like mercy mercy mercy you get those when you have a lot of like “Main” shot callers calling out dive targets and all that and the coms are just filled like one guy said kinda like your in the owl. Then you got the people who just wanna chill what is there something wrong with not wanting to say much if not anything? What do you think I said that as a insult? That they can’t say anything? They usually just don’t want to/see no need to or whatever reason they have.

OWL sure. But there is little coordination in ranked for 99.5% of the playerbase. Callouts are still good and help, but even highr/t500 people don’t call out every game.
Well I guess you can say you have the “Main” guy and then you have the “quite people” maybe that names more friendly XD the people who don’t talk much or at all.

I did specifically exclude what exactly my coms are just so no one would be accurately trying to make these educated guess or these assumptions of “Oh your probably the toxic kind who does this and does this and any other negative thing I can label you”

I think when I said don’t interrupt the shot caller people got that mixed with me saying no one should talk BUT me BUT I specifically added a certain part just safeguard myself “if you have anything to add make it respectful positive and toss out some ideas” I literally left it open for anyone to say anything as long as your not a butthole.
