Recent update added DLSS3 as an image treatment option which I think is awesome. However it seems it’s broken upon release.
Upon selecting DLSS3 the image has severe ghosting rendering the treatment option unusable. This is best demonstrated in the practice range if you strafe left and right while looking at the antennas. This ghosting doesn’t happen on any of the FSR modes or default. If FSR2.2 is able to not ghost, DLSS3 should also not ghost considering you use the same motion vector data but a better algorithm for the upscaling.
Also I cannot specify which setting to use for the quality of the upsampling. No
matter which setting I use when I check back on the menu the game has selected Performance as the upscaling option which is the worst quality. Also also I should not be able to toggle render resolution independently of the quality setting of the DLSS itself since selecting Quality, Balanced or Performance itself acts as the rendering resolution setting.
Picture of the ghosting, i am strafing left here which creates a trail on the right side of the pole. This is at 158fps:

Just play it without DLSS / FSR, & turn ur settings down a bit if necessary.
Take a look at KarQ’s Best OW2 ingame settings guide to get the best out of your rig.

I’d also take a look at the below Best NVidia Control Pannel settings vid as well, especially the 1st option Image sharpning.

I’ve been playing around with DLSS 3 enabled today and the ghosting is really, really bad when Widowmaker’s ultimate is active and you’re watching the enemy move behind walls. As you may expect this gives you a huge competitive disadvantage.
If they are able to fix this or at least reduce the ghosting to where it’s not very noticeable, then I will keep DLSS 3 enabled permanently. It’s such a good feature to have but sadly the ghosting effect kind of ruins it for now.
Edit: Maybe Quality mode for DLSS fixes the ghosting but as you’ve mentioned in your post we are not able to pick it at this time.

It would be great if they improved this feature even further but I’m so happy that it’s in the game now!

Season 9 patch did not address the DLSS bugs, the options menu still allows me to set up separate rendering resolutions independent of the DLSS quality setting.
What really saddens me about is that were the DLSS to work correctly it’d give me a minor competitive advantage since I seem to get 5-10% lower system latency with it enabled despite having identical frame rates. But I can’t enable it because of the hit I’d take on the image quality.
