In theory, it should be a triangle type thing.
Dive counters deathball, deathball counters bunker, bunker counters dive.
In actuality though, as far as I can tell, Deathball counters bunker, dive counters bunker, and Dive counters deathball unless it doesn’t.
Is this because there is no bunker-style off-tank?
It was starting to become a triangle, in OWL and then they brought out brigitte, and it’ll never go back to what was a fairly well balenced game anytime soon.
Dive DID counter deathball until Brig made deathball counter everything.
Bunker did counter dive, in so far as “anti-dive” was a potential team comp that existed for a while, featuring Orisa, Roadhog and dps heroes like Junk or McCree. Deathball has always successfully countered bunker comps.
Why they decided Brig was a better idea than making Orisa/Hog actually balanced is anybody’s guess.
