In the last 2-3 days, my in-game audio is distorted. I’ve looked up online but there wasn’t one similar to what I experienced. I was hearing things that didn’t match my surroundings like hearing the enemy Bastion ult when he’s all the way on the other side of map or an enemy Brig swinging behind me but she was actually in the room on my front left. The distorted audio gets a bit worse in a few mins and I hear a zzz and the audio is cut off for the rest of the time. I have to restart my laptop to get to my audio to work again.
I’ve played Overwatch for more than half a year and I’ve played other games but this is the first time my audio did this. I’ve tried scanning and repairing Overwatch. I’ve tried updating my audio devices but they’re up to date. I do notice that my laptop was very hot when it occurs everytime. However, in the past when my audio worked, my laptop has always been this hot when I play Overwatch and other games. I don’t know if the issue is Overwatch or my laptop or headphones.
Another issue I noticed that coincidentally happened with the audio issues is that I’m logged out of Blizzard every time I open Overwatch now. That’s new cause it has never happened to me unless I had signed out previously.
